If you’re on the fence, just buy it!
Okay so my 4 year old has been begging for a bunk bed as her first big girl bed. I finally gave in and ordered her this one, and we are obsessed! It’s absolutely perfect, such a space saver - not too big at all but perfect size, and super sturdy. Assembly was a breeze honestly - just follow the directions and it’s not difficult at all. My husband and I put it together, and we had it done within a few hours, even with our 4 year old underneath us. It was definitely worth the price and the effort, our little girl is obsessed with this bed! She’s even slept in it the past few nights by herself when she’s NEVER done that before. Definitely a 10/10 decision! Just buy it!! 😊

The price gets five stars, even with minor flaws.
Please be aware that I am giving this five stars because I have searched in stores and online without finding a bunk bed this inexpensive that has the weight capacity of this one. I have a teen and preteen, so a bed with a 100 lb. weight limit is out of the question. This bed has a 200 lb. top bunk weight limit, so that alone makes it five stars for the price. However, there are a few very minor issues, mostly with the paint job, that might irritate someone who expects perfection at even this rock bottom price. For me, they aren't enough to deduct points from the product. I did not expect a $1000 bed for $160, so I was fine with the tiny flaws. There are a couple of spots where the paint just didn't cover well, and they look almost rusty. It's not the full-on, metal weakening type, but just bare metal, untreated look. They are near the spots the bed joins, so once everything was together, you don't even see them. The slats apparently rubbed together during shipping, and the paint on them is scuffed; again, it's minor, and it looks as though it happened during shipping. The slats were the only thing not individually wrapped, so the rubbing isn't even visible. The bolts do extend from the bed; they aren't flush with the metal. However, they are rounded and coated, so I don't see this as a problem, either. They are intended to be that way. One thing that irritated me a little is that one of the slats is bent. That seemed odd, because it's the only one and they were together in the box, so it seems like it was that way before shipping. It's not enough to affect the sturdiness of the bed. I put that slat near the head of the bed, so little weight will be on it, just in case. Now for the good parts. This bed is very sturdy, very heavy, and it doesn't squeak or sway. While it is very tedious to assemble, it is simple and the instructions are great. Everything you need is included in the box. The instructions say you need two people to assemble it, and that it takes two hours. I HIGHLY recommend that you get help with this, if you can. I couldn't, and I assembled it alone in about an hour, but it was a pain. One warning: the instructions say not to tighten the bolts until the bed is completely assembled, and I cannot stress this too much. DO NOT TIGHTEN THOSE BOLTS UNTIL THE BED IS COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED. I hand-tightened them, and had to take some out a bit, because I had tightened them too much, just with my hands.Update: I bought this in September 2015. In May 2018, it's still strong and sturdy, though squeaky. It has been a great value for me.

Good purchase
I purchased the twin over full black bunk bed. Some of these reviews are disappointing because my experience was not even close to as bad. All the pieces were there, and some extras along with the instructions. Packaging was good besides one minor hole in the Box.Cons- Top bunk is a little wobbly (that's to be expected)- Instructions neglected to show one step which was quite easy to figure out.- As others mentioned, ladder is made of skinny bars which can hurt the feet of older occupants but I just used pool noodles and tape to cushion it :-)- This isn't really a con but worth mentioning, the end guard rails on the top bunk did not fit quite right so we had to loosen some pieces to fit on butt doesn't make much of a difference, just took some brains to solve the problem.Pros- Sturdy! No worries about the trustworthiness- Fairly easy to assemble. Hubby and I didn't in about an hour and he didn't need much help from me besides holding some bars in place. I don't know why everybody was complaining that there was so many pieces becausedon't know why everybody was complaining that there was so many pieces because of course, it has to be shipped so don't expect it to be partially assembled LOL.- Sleek nice looking black color. Not super shiny, looks very nice.- Top bunk guard rails are high enough to have a mattress and still have safety bar.- Ladders on both sides- Very affordable!

Great inexpensive bunk bed
To be honest I was hesitant about getting this bed. I read a ton of reviews before buying things online, especially something like this. And even though it was a total workout for a woman like myself, if you follow the instructions correctly, and take the time to properly put it together. This bed is worth it. Some reviews had me worried that I could be making a mistake. But in all honesty is a great buy, as long as you’re willing to put in the work to put it together. My older stepdaughter (6yrs) loves the top bunk. And we are getting ready to transition her little sister (18m) into the bottom bunk. Not super tall, especially the bottom bunk (which is great for a toddler) and sturdy. Can’t go wrong with the pink for 2 little girls either.

Still confused on one area but looks great
The instructions were very easy to follow except for one of the final bars on the top bunk. There wasnt a hole to place the screw to tighten the safety bar so my husband bent it in to place. But it's the back safety wall so it's ok as is.Absolutely perfect for the price
