JECOBI 17 oz Large Coffee Mug - Double Wall Insulated Glass, Unique Gift Set of 2. Keeps Hot Or Cold Drinks Longer - Clear Coffee Mugs

These mugs are nice and large so I can use them with my Keurig machine on the large setting and still have room for milk. They are thin-walled glass which is part of the reason they keep the coffee so hot as opposed to a regular ceramic mug, there is a lot less mass to the part of the mug the coffee touches. The vacuum gap between the inner and outer walls also prevents the heat from leaving the coffee and keeps it hot for a long time. We have not had any trouble with damaging these mugs but I imagine they are fragile so we are careful. The only negative we noticed is the coffee mug glass is so smooth that it is hard to make a drip-proof seal between your lips and the cup so there is always a little coffee dripping down the edge where you drink it but that is a minor issue. I highly recommend these mugs if you are conscientious and understand they can be fragile.

We ordered a set of these beautiful mugs in March. They functioned wonderfully, looked great, and just as importantly, they had a wide base so that they would not be easily knocked over.Just recently, I poured some hot coffee into one of the mugs and the interior bottom fractured. I emailed Jecobi explaining the incident and attached a photo of the damaged mug. Ron, of their customer service department promptly responded, apologized for the inconvenience, and offered to send me a new set of 2 mugs! Wow! This is an example of superior customer service that more companies should emulate! Thank you, Ron and Jecobi!

The media could not be loaded.  I have been a big fan of the Bodum double wall mugs. Have a few and have been using them for years. But, I really wanted a larger one, but I could not find a 16+ ounce mug from Bodum, so I decided to try this one. The two mugs came very nicely packaged, and the mugs are very well made and nice looking. However, they glass is much thinner than what I am used to with the Bodum brand. My 12 ounce Bodum mug feels heavier than this 17 ounce mug. It is really noticeable when setting these down on a granite counter top. The sound is much hollower, compared to the Bodum. After having 2 of these mugs for less than a week I have already broke one of them from setting it down on a counter.**UPDATE 9/2019*** Dropping to lowest possible Stars. After having for a couple weeks, I put one thru the dishwasher, and water has gotten inside the double wall glass (It appears thru the tiny moulding hole on the bottom). In fact, if I turn the glass upright and shake it, drops of water will come out.

Well, I enjoyed these glass mugs for almost 5 years, but 2 days before the 5th year anniversary of my purchase I was drinking soda in one (3 ice cubes), when I noticed something strange (see photos). With my poor eyesight (thanks doctors) I thought I saw ice freezing on the sides as I finished my Dew. How, I thought? Upon closer inspection it turned out that the inner layer had shattered. The amount in glass bottom does not equal the space missing. Excuse me , some type of plexiglass or such material. Now, I had just handwashed this 2 or 3 days ago.It wasn't broken then, and where is all the pieces? Of course now my throat geels scratchy, allergies or ? This was told to me pre-purchase to be actual glass which probably would have made clinking noise when breaking to alert me. I was just looking last night to buy more, but not now. Must be why it's unavailable now. Who do I put on notice in case of personal injury?

The mugs work fine keeping my coffee warm, however, like the other buyers said, they are not really 18 oz. I bought them because I had 15 oz mugs and they were not holding my triple cappuccinos. The new mugs however turned out to be identical capacity to my 15 oz mugs, so now I have a bunch of mugs that are all too small. No problems with the durability as long as you don't sling them around carelessly. You have to handle them more like wine glasses and not beer mugs. The only other problem I have is that the handles are on the smaller side. My wife is comfy with them, but I would prefer larger handles.

Nothing beats glass for pure taste of what's inside. Plastic thermal mugs may keep your coffee or tea warmer longer, but residual tastes build up and stains accrue on the plastic. GLASS, baby! These mugs are wonderful. For keeping your beverage warm longer, they work fine. Keep in mind these are not true sealed vacuum thermos bottles, and like all cups and mugs, they lose heat from the surface. BUT, these seem to retain heat longer than some other insulated mugs. As with any glass vessel, temper it first with hot tap water before adding your hot tea or coffee.-- NOTE. One of my mugs developed a crack where the handle is attached to the body, and liquid seeped through into the wall space. Jecobi replaced the pair without charge (so now I have 3 mugs, LOL). They asked for pictures so they could improve their manufacturing process. Gotta LOVE a company that truly stands behind its products!

I like the looks of these, they are capacious, and they do well in the dishwasher. They definitely insulate both hot and cold beverages, and although I've accidentally knocked one into a counter or the sink a couple of times, there are no cracks or chips. One problem: the curved edge that you drink from makes kind of a dribble glass effect. Not bad, but I probably won't buy any more of these.Update 1-21-2019: One of these broke, just the inside part. Apparently, when I took it out of the dishwasher to use it, it hadn't cooled down sufficiently yet, and when I put ice in it, the inner part cracked so much that a chunk fell into the space between the inner and outer cup. I couldn't fix it and had to throw it out. I'm leaving it with two stars because it should be OK if you are careful about not putting cold liquids and ice into a hot cup or vice versa.

I got this because I am trying to switch everything that contains my food/drink to glass since with all the other stuff, you don't know what all chemicals it bleeds over time. So, I bought these with hesitation. But, I am really happy with them. They look good, feel good, are easy to clean and keep drinks hot or cold.

These things weigh nothing. They hold a full 12 oz brew from my Keurig with cream and sweetener. They are comfortable to hold, and they seemed near indestructible. I am afraid to say that I have dropped them more than once, and they don't shatter as you expect. They kind of bounced. Note that this is not recommended obviously. The double wall looks great since the coffee appears to float in space. Very cool.

Great value for money and would even pay a little bit more because the product is well worth it. Made a coffee and about 40 45 minutes was still very warm enough to drink and still enjoy

I've been using these 1-2 x per day for month straight. I Hand wash if I want to use a second time and stick it in the dishwasher every night. So far no visible pooling of water as mentioned in other reviews. I do see the pin hole that allows whatever they need to happen. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the lip of the mug is a bit thick and sometimes I found that there is trail of liquid where I just took a sip that is now dripping on the side of the glass. It's hard to explain...but I end up wiping where I just took a sip every now and again. Other than that (which was me being really very picky), these glasses are stunning, light weight and are larger than the norm. I get complements on them all the time as they are unique and chic. Deliver was fast and packaging looked legit.

The design is excellent. Heat does not effect it so your able to hold the cup. Quite solid product.Will be purchasing more.
