Excellent quality
Been installed now for a month, seems to be great quality, looks good and is quieter than the previous Elica one we had. Great value for money too

Plastic impeller, time will tell how long that'll last.
I replaced my mum's extractor fan that fails constantly because the plastic impeller breaks and comes away from the motor. I've had enough of buying that spare part so it was time to change it out.She does a lot of cooking so strong suction was paramount. I asked the question of sturdiness prior to commiting with purchase. Most people who answered have either had it for at least a couple of years with no problems or have said it's of a good build. So I was skeptical to say the least when I saw it has a similar black plastic impeller when I received it. It certainly sucks very well. In the manual it says you should clean the impeller every so often. How? You'd have to take most of it apart to do so, no?The install was very easy. The unit is relatively light weight so I was able to do everything myself without additional help. I find the touch buttons aren't very responsive or the motor doesn't kick in the moment you press the numbers. The LED lights are bright and strong.Time will tell if the impeller will last. Like I said, it will get heavy use on speed setting 3 and B. Will it last more than a couple of years? Fingers crossed.Edit: it has now been in use for almost 12 months. Still good. Touch wood. I have increased my original score of 3 stars to 4.

Ciarra cooker hood..
Quality cooker hood, really powerful but quiet. 2 brightness levels. Looks really sleek.. very easy to operate, the soft touch buttons are very responsive. Extraction quality is fantastic and compared to last one is much quieter but powerful. I got someone to fit it but if you’re diyer you could easily fit it. I didn’t use the recirculation filters… straight extraction.

Ciarra cooker hood
Fit is perfect for 90 cm easy to install only problem is the plug and lead there should of been a little section where you could feed the cable through for a more professional flush finish otherwise it's great , it reads two man job I did it solo, power is fantastic.

not very powerfull
Purchased to replace an Airone unit of a similar spec.I would estimate that the Airone unit moves double the volume of air that the Ciarra unit moves.

Quiet and powerful
This is only my 3rd or 4th time leaving a review. I was so impressed with this fan I just had to leave a review. This hood was simple to fit about an hour in total. The main point I reckon to fitting the fan and to keep the fan quiet is to make sure that you don’t reduce 150mm diameter vent. I had to buy a 150mm vent cover through Amazon. This hood does come with a metre or so of 150mm expandable hose. I bought the fan during a sale and are as good if not better than Bosch or Neff. I cannot fault this fan. The light has 2 levels and on the top level it’s just bright enough. Also it looks modern. So if you are in 2 minds to buy one of these hoods, just go for it you won’t regret it.

Has the look but not the quality
I purchased this hood based on the reviews and was to replace an 10 year old cheap hood from a popular diy store. I have to say I am very disappointed. I hope my review will help others to make a balanced choice.1. First on arrival the staples holding the shipping box together were corroded and the box was filthy, so goodness knows were it had been stored or how long. On opening a screw on the back holding the fan was also corroded.2. The polythene protective cover over the stainless steel had many marks on it, and later found some of these had gone through and marked the stainless.3. The way the two chimneys are held in polystyrene in the shipping box is a poor design, in that, it’s not held at right angles to keep them square, but rather splayed out towards the opening sides. Owing to the thin gauge stainless steel it had set a bow in the front (canned), and the only way I could rectify this was to buy some aluminium angle and stick this inside the top with gorilla glue!4. The supports for the chimney are not robust enough. Again the gauge is to thin. I’ve had to use mending plates to make them more rigid, otherwise, the chimney pulls away from the wall.5. Centre grease mesh floppy.6. You will need to put packers between the wall and the bottom inside edge of the hood if you want to get it level from wall to the front of the hood.So to sum up: it has the look but not the quality- even compared to my old “cheap” hood from diy store.

The Light is poor - but there is a solution!
It is a stylish looking hood with great suction, but I ignored the reviews saying the light was poor. However having fitted it for my Mum, I got the call to say she was struggling to see her hob now. After some investigation I discovered the light units push out (from above) and can be disconnected easily - running at 1.5w they are pretty useless.I found these 12v 3w units:https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PNL4HJP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailswhich fit perfectly, and with a quick snip and a terminal block these can be fitted easily (keeping positive to positive, negative to negative) with the appropriate DIY skills, or an electrician if you don't want to tackle it. And you'll have 2 spare for down the road.Mum happy. Happy life.
