easy to set up
I purchased the the 2 plug, but received the dimmer, so I figured I ought to review it as well.Pros: easy to set up. Took a few seconds to do the exclusion process, and three more to add it to my zwave network. It works with Alexa (just had to say alexa discover). Works with my wink hub 1. Unobtrusive and smartly designed, it can be plugged into a bottom outlet, without interfering with the top outlet. Ul testing is another bonus, that can be pricey. So is wink integration and z-wave partnership. What that means is the company is going all out to make sure its a good product. there may be some that are less expensive, but without the UL testing if your house burns down your insurance will try to wiggle out of paying you. Another pro, it seems to be faster and more responsive than other zwave devices on my network.Cons:none really. it wasn't what I ordered. But Inovelli made Amazons mistake right.Another angle: So I ordered the 2 outlet switch, and received the dimmer. I posted about the problem in a wink group on facebook and quite quickly had a PM from the owner of the Inovelli company. He told me to keep the dimmer, and is sending me out the 2 outlet switch I had ordered to start with. Customer service like that is rare these days. As I found out in talking to the owner of Inovelli he is one of us. He is a HA and IoT enthusiast making things for our community. That makes these products a labor of love in my view. Some companies make a product to make money. Inovelli makes products because they love and use the tech. They are premium products at a good rate, with absolutely top shelf customer service. I will absolutely be buying Inovelli again. They are now my top preference in this market segment.

Very happy with this
I should preface this by saying that I just got this in the mail today, so can't speak to long term quality/issues, etc. And I would add that it took a little searching to figure out how to get this working with my SmartThings hub. It DOES work just fine, but when the hub searched and found just one device where I had expected 3 (from the comments and otherwise ample paper documentation), I was thinking it wasn't working. Not true; turns out that it's discovered by SmartThings as a single "Z-Wave Device Multichannel". What you do from there, if you have a SmartThings version 2 hub, is that you go into the "Automation" part of your app and under "SmartApps" you "Add a SmartApp", search that under the last choice on the list, "More", and scroll towards the bottom and find "Multi-Channel Control". Once you've added this SmartApp, now when you go back and look at your list of devices you'll see two new devices named "Switch Endpoint 1" and "Switch Endpoint 2". Rename those, figure out which is which, and voila!I very much appreciate a single device with two separately controllable z-wave plugs. I'll have to get a little adapter for one of the two; having the plugs on the side is overall great, but one of the minor "plug brick" units I want to plug in won't allow this unit to plug into the wall. This is the nature of things, however; if the plug projects out from the wall there are too often different problems; I like my GE branded smart plugs which also have side connections in general over the one Samsung branded plug that I got with my hub (where the cord projects out into the room).I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but I also appreciate that this is device is Z-Wave 'Plus' certified. I'm hoping to use a contact sensor in my across-the-street mailbox, and the location of this particular plug means that it will be the most effective range extender (repeater) for my hub, and I believe that the 'Plus' standard allows for more range (?). Not sure, this is off the top of my head, but the more recent standard is still something I appreciate seeing (listed in the specs on the document that came with the product). While I give it 5 stars, if I could think of anything to improve this product, it would be to increase the max amperage. This is listed as 10 amp max total (not per outlet). 10 amps at 110 volts is 1100 watts --- certainly more than adequate for lighting needs. But I could see a situation where I might want a small space heater or electric blanket. The GE units support up to I think about 1800 watts, which gives a little more flexibility for such uses. I acknowledge that this device isn't marketed as for bigger appliances, but still --- would be nice to have a version of this product, at least, that offers two z-wave plugs with more amperage.Still: thanks very much Inovelli for offering a very well thought out product.

Perfect.
I decided to go with this product because it not only allows you to use the top outlet as long as you plug this in the bottom outlet, but it also allows you to plug in and control two different things. Plus at the time this was the cheapest Z-Wave outlet on Amazon.I'm not sure why others have trouble connecting this to their Z-Wave hub, it was just as easy to connect to my SmartThings hub as any other product I have was. Should take less than a minute to get it going. For SmartThings at least you do have to connect a SmartApp called "Multi-Channel Control" to your outlet so you can control each plug, by default it just controls one plug. This is only a one time thing and again takes less than a minute. After doing this 2 new "things" will be added, each one controlling a different plug, while the default "thing" that you started with will still be there and it will still control the original plug. You can either just not use this original default plug or set up a couple of routines to make use of this "thing" to control both outlets at the same time. There are two very minor complaints I have about this, neither of which warrant losing a star. First the blue light on the outlet can't be turned on or off by default, on always means at least 1 outlet is turned on and off always means both outlets are turned off. Other things I have that have lights on them allow you to change the light functionality, including leaving the light off altogether in case the light bothers you. It's not a problem for me because I put these in a place where the light won't bother me anyways, but the company should probably make this an option. The other thing is the light/button on the front turns both outlets on or off, there aren't separate buttons on the product itself to control each outlet independently. Again this isn't a problem for me because I most likely won't be using the button on front anyways, the whole point of these things after all is to control things remotely, but some people might find it useful.I was tempted to go with a WiFi outlet but WiFi can be tricky sometimes depending on how far away the device is from your router and signals being lost and whatnot. I've been using Z-Wave for months for other products in my home and I have never once had an issue with dropped signal or anything of the like. Z-Wave is the way to go.

Workes Great 2 channel
I use it with SmartThings connected no problem and works very well. Alexa can also control it just fine and you can rename the channel 1 or 2 to whatever you want and tell her to turn "the name you gave it" on or offGood price for a portable z-wave plug. Feels sturdy well built.Used in summer to turn pool pump on and off automatically especially useful during peak electricity pricing hours. Pool pump is actually pretty expensive to run, wish I bough this earlier in the season. Being portable now i use it inside for whatever else.My only issue is on the "software" side as it appears as MAIN PLUG then you have to go to sub menu to turn each channel ON or OFF, still if you make a routine with ST you have a choice of 3 plugs only the channel 1 and 2 would actually work. Making routine was very easy I didn't have to invent any subroutines.I guess what i am trying to say there is no need to have it show up as 3 plugs especially since the 1st one (main one) cannot turn both subs off or on as stated by someone else.

Works well with Vera
Paired with my old Vera 3 controller. Took a minute or two before both plug appeared but after that it worked fine. I use it to schedule outdoor inflatable decoration.
