Love it.
I'm in the middle of an extensive renovation project and got tired of struggling with the hand-me-down hammer I'd been using, so I opted for this Irwin hammer since it seemed like it would be good both for demolition and framing. It definitely checks both boxes. The 2x4 notch on the back makes short work of tearing out old framing as well as levering new studs into place. The weight and balance makes it very easy to drive even large framing nails into place, and the handle is grippy and comfortable. You can definitely spend more on a hammer, but this one gets the job done will at a good price. I've put it through its paces and it's held up well so far - I have no doubt this hammer will have a place on my tool belt for many years.

I needed a new hammer and this one looked cool
I'm about to extend our shed so I decided I needed a new hammer. This one looked the coolest so I bought it. It's a little bigger and heavier than I thought but it works great. I'm not starting the shed for a few more weeks so I tried it out yesterday and it works great. It hammers the crap out of nails. The weight makes it easier to hammer a nail in in 1 maybe 2 swings vice 3 or 4. I love the nail puller offer on the side. Gives you better leverage. I don't plan on using the 2" lumber picker upper thing but it is a great feature for this thing. Overall it is a little heavier than I thought for my dainty wrist but this smaller one didn't have the 2" lumber moving and side nail options but I will make it work. So I have a few weeks to go to the gym and swoll up at least my right wrist so I don't get tire using this beast

Good quality
Love this hammer. It has the right weight, comfortable handle with no vibration and some very cool features. 1 issue i have and the claw is too thin. 1 of the claw is braking after roughly a year of use. I'd appreciate it if the claw could be make with a little more thickness

I love it. I mean it!
Hey everyone, I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but this hammer is an exception. I’ve been using 16-18 oz hammers for years, and even though this one is heavier, it’s been a total game changer. It’s so much easier to pull nails and fix crooked boards (<-- this is the feature I was lacking), Well IRWIN, after buying from you some disappointing stuff, this one is a rockstar. I expect nothing for this review, but it would be nice if you send me another one (psssst.... due to my ADHD, I often misplace my tools and I have to use my ex-fav Fiskars instead) :-). Consider it no bribe but help a mentally challenged guy (and his wife who is asked to find that f*** hammer)..

A Fantastic Tool
I bought this for my dad and he loves it. He's always building things and completing DIY projects around the house. This hammer, he says, makes those projects easier and is a very versatile tool.
