SCAR-COTE - Silicone Gel Scar Sheet Dressing 12cm x 6cm

I've got a keloid scar on my jaw which has been stubborn and has required lots of treatment. I have used different scar sheets in the past and can confirm that this is the best one I've used. It is strong and has good adhesion. You can rinse it with soap and warm water to maintain the adhesion and it can last a couple of weeks per piece that you use. My scar is softer and flatter thanks to this scar sheet.

I ordered one of these after my eight-year-old daughter had an appendectomy. The scar was about 3 inches long and was raised and puckered at each end where the skin had been sewn together slightly tightly. After a week of using the scar cote her scar became completely flat. Now if you close your eyes and run your hand across her abdomen you cannot tell at all where the scar is. I was very impressed and surprised by how well this product worked. The scar still has a dark red colour but is at least completely flat now.

This was purchased for use by my wife who suffers from Keloid scarring. She has previously used CICA Care Silica Gel which is more than twice the price. As she has several scars she wanted to try cheaper option. Although slightly thinner than the previous Gel sheet, so far she is very pleased with the purchase. Helps calm the itching and seems to be flattening the scar. Still early days but so far so good.

I got this as I suffer from terrible keloid scarring and was recommended by a nurse. Unfortunately by the time I bought it my scar had pretty much formed and it was already quite a thick keloid. The silicon did feel really nice against the scar and was relieving but also had a tendency to make it feel itchy. You also have to wash it quite a lot. It didn’t lose its ‘stick’ but the silicon started to degrade and wear down so the plaster will only last 2 weeks or so. A hit and miss experience for me.

My dr recommended me buy a silicone gel scar thing and its really easy to stick on, easy to wash and gets sticky again. I can wear it under my clothes and it doesnt peel or roll down. Lets hope is heals my scar nicely like its supposed to

I wanted to use this dressing to flatten a couple of old scars, and had high hopes, but it's been a frustrating experience. The patch is easy enough to cut doesn't stick strongly enough to the skin, especially on an undulating scar. Pretty disappointed.

I was a little apprehensive about this product whether it would do anything at all however, too my surprise it made a big difference too my keloid scare flattening it and slightly improving the colour. I am very happy after seeing improvements just after the first use and I will be purchasing again. I would like to add I found that when my skin had moisture the sheet did not last as long as when my skin was drier which can be reused. Just make sure the scar and surrounding area is dry before applying a sheet.

Bought this on line as was using a hospital issued silicone piece to aid scar management after an operation, but they would only give me a small piece because of saving hospital costs !. This product proved to be as good as the hospital one and I would definitely recommend it . I received it quickly and the emails from the firm were pleasant and informative. It is expensive but with carefull handling and repeated use it does last and I am very pleased with the results.
