En el libro hay una cita que me parece maravillosa:“No, today’s young people may not be ready to run a multinational corporation upon graduation. No, they may not become their country’s leader someday. And no, they may not be able to get the highest test score. But those are not the ultimate ends in mind. The ultimate end in mind is to enable them: 1) to effectively lead their lives, 2) to work well with others, and 3) to make positive contributions in the world around them. For many students, those outcomes may never happen unless someone meets them at their crossroad and gives them a chance to shine. The Leader in Me is designed to help adults give students that chance.”

The Leader in Me has not only challenged me as a professional teacher, but challenged me to examine how I can apply the seven habits to my personal life. The book is inspiring and gives fantastic examples of how to apply leadership and the seven habits to the school, classrooms, and individual students. The Leader in Me has encouraged me to strengthen and tweak my own teaching practices while not adding to my workload. I really can't say enough good things about the Leader in Me.

This second edition exceeded my expectation! Just another contribution as to why Dr. Steven R. Covey deserves to considered one of the best educators and leadership authors. Just brilliant to fuse the highly acclaimed "7 Habits" concept to K-12 education that result in outstanding learning outcomes! Ample examples that touch upon how the 7 habits may work, would like to see in depth analysis or case studies on how setbacks were overcome, illustration on how to tackle setbacks and resistance would be invaluable information for someone like me who wishes to make things better for the children but stumbles from time to time facing setbacks

This book provider a wonderful guide and practical lessons on how to help unleash the potential in all kids. It gives educators the framework and reference on how to build a leadership culture while at the same time boiling their own water. Really great book!

Amazing to be inspired by the ideas that could literally change the future for leadership worldwide. If I had the principles discussed in this book taught to me from a young age my self-confidence and self-worth would have been greatly improved over the course of of the dreaded middle school years. I look forward to seeing a school that has implemented The Leader In Me program.

I heard about this program at my daughter’s school and thought I’d check out the book to see what it was all about. At least 50% of this book is a sales pitch for the program. If you want more substance, just read the 7 habits.
