Flavel Fan Oven/Cooker Heater Element (1800W)

Good value easy to fit. Working well

Our oven expired one day mid bake as the element on our Flavel oven had finally shuffled off its mortal coil! Found this on Amazon and decided to go for it. It was reasonably priced, we did have a sneaky peak elsewhere and it arrived very quickly. My husband fitted it without difficulty and it works perfectly. Its like having a brand new oven. Couldn't be happier. I would recommend this item wholeheartedly.

They don’t deserve 1 star, so hopefully the product will work for longer this time, and the rating applies due to the excellent service from spares-2-go.Edit October 2017 - this review has been changed as this element has failed already (not even 3 months of use)Ordered replacement part from elsewhere. The seller should refund me for this what a waste of money.Original review = Our fan oven was not getting hot in our Flavel Finesse 100, and after a quick google it would seem, if a fan still turns, and everything else seems to be working, then a faulty heater element is usually the cause of an oven not getting hot.Did a quick search and found this part, with prime delivery, always a bonus, ordered it Saturday, arrived on Sunday!To fit the part is relatively easy, you will see on a lot of tutorial videos, isolate the cooker from the mains (turn off the power switch to it!). Open the fan oven door, 2 screws will be holding a back plate, undo those, and drop the back plate down.There you will see the element, on most cookers, 2 screws hold it in, undo, pull it out slightly and work from there...But on the Flavel Finesse 100, they have put the screws at the rear, so all you will see is screw ends instead! So, you need to work from the back of the oven, take off the lower heatshield at the rear of the oven, it is held in with about 6 screws or so, and then gently move it so you have enough room to work with - no need to remove the black plastic connector block.The heatshield will be able to move out the way enough for you to work on the element, you will see 2 screws (1 top, 1 bottom) holding the element in place, firstly, disconnect the 3 wires with spade connectors that go into the rear of the element, make a note of which colour goes where first!Once they have been disconnected, simply undo the screws, you can then remove the faulty element from the front of the oven, and refit the new one, screw it in place, reconnect the 3 wires and gently put the heat shield back on the rear of the cooker.Once done, re-fit the backplate, turn the mains switch back on, and run the oven at max temp for a few minutes.It will smell a bit (the new element) which is normal, that will go after a short while.Hope this helps someone, I am by no means an expert with these things, and managed to do it all in about 30 minutes (which included the obligatory cup of tea and a couple of biscuits to assist with the whole process).Note - this element has an extra metal clip, which, on some ovens you would have 3 screws to hold it in place, for the Finesse 100, there is no screw-hole for the 3rd screw, so just ignore it.As for the product, it was easy to fit, and works fine, so that is 5 stars.

Element blew on cooker, was quoted 60.00 by electrician for this part and 60 to fit. Purchased this for a fraction of the price and fitted ourselves. Extremely happy

Easy to installPerfect replacement

Ordered Wednesday Night, delivered Saturday morning. Packaged brilliant, Product arrived in perfect condition. Fitted in 30 mins and tested works perfectly. Slight plastic smell when first heated but that is perfectly normal for any element when first heated. Amazing value. I fixed my oven for €10.21 in 2 days. I got a quote from a repair company for €180 would have been 10 days with my oven and I would have had to drop it off and collect it, otherwise I would have had to pay a collection/drop-off fee. Saved me so much time, effort and money!!!! Thanks a million
