Used to make sure that the coffee in a portafilter doesn't have any lumps. Works as described. Well made device.

This wtd tool is made of thick aluminum and has an attractive matte black finish, with a nice stand. The wires are placed in the perfect configuration for removing clumps and air from your portafilter, it also comes with extra wires. My only complaint is that no instructions are included and assembly is required, it was simple to figure out but instructions would still be nice.

Instead of breaking up clumps, this seems to just push coffee around inside of the basket. I removed all but three of the needles and got better results. The needles are just in too dense of a pattern.

The quality of this tool is "not amazing", I would say.Pros:The needles are... fine? Probably? Its nice that there are a few extras, haven't had one break on me yet.Seems easy enough to clean, just wipe the needles against a paper towel.It does, indeed, distribute the grounds when swirled around.Cons:The tool fits together poorly. Resting in the stand it has a tendency to lean crooked.I legitimately do not know what purpose the silicone pad serves. The pad is smaller diameter than the inside of the tool, and falls in between the needles after insertion. You can hear it rattle inside the tool.Weird design. The brand is "WDT Tool", but the stand wants the larger end down. The logo on the stand this way is upside down.Pretty pricey for what it is, yet feels cheap.

This item seems to be machine well but was shipped with .4mm needles, not .3mm. I was specifically looking for a .3mm, and trying to navigate Amazon to have them send me the property needles is an absolute nightmare.If you see this, seller, please feel free to contact me as I would just like to have the smaller needles sent. Amazon keeps routing me through their own customer service and all I want to do is send a message requesting the proper size needles, I don't want to return the item or get a refund.

The needles do not stay in the head when inserted rendering it useless. Will return

This feels sturdy and looks good in my coffee area. I like that the lid of the WDT is slightly rounded so it actually is able to “wobble” a bit when sitting on the lid if you (for some reason) didn’t put it back in its housing. Very happy with it.

Good little WDT, comes with a few spare needles. Needles stay in securely. The stand is a little too light compared to the WDT, so it is easy to knock over, but generally great value.
