Nicely made. The tiny 'feet' is a great idea and keeps the plate from scratching the induction top or getting stuck. The handle to remove the plate is convenient though a bit tricky to use since the plate tends to slide on the cook top. One note of caution. This plate really just converts the induction stove to an electric hot plate. The plate will stay hot long after the stove is switched off. So best to remove your pot once you are done and avoid over cooking your dish or coffee

Does NOT work for induction stove. Little “feet” prevent full contact on the stove and make it useless. Waste of money.

The stove in my home is an old builder’s grade electric coil stove that does not heat evenly, meaning my cookware does not cook evenly, even my cast iron. Using this heat diffusing plate evens things out considerably and makes it so that food does not scorch on one side of the pan/skillet. It would be really nice if there were two sizes available for the two different size burners, but I’ll take what I can get!

got a glass top new stove and love to use my cast icon pots cooking. to protect the glass top free from scratches, i ordered this plate. so far it is THE right product. did the trick. only thing is the surface discoloration from shinning stainless steel looking to burnt rose color because of the alloy material interacts with temperature. not the best result but think it is universal reaction so i reordered more. own 3 plates and love them all. like the little legs in the back design. returned the other brand that is flat surfaced.

Pros: I don’t have to rehome some of my All-Clad cookware that wouldn’t have otherwise worked on our new induction range!!! These “stainless” steel discs have worked great, and even use it for a small stainless steel stovetop espresso maker whose footprint was too small for the range to work with.Con: only one so far, but it becomes quickly discolored with use. The stains can be scrubbed off, but it requires extra effort that I wasn’t expecting.Overall, would buy again in order to keep and use some of my cookware that wouldn’t have worked otherwise.

Good protection

Apparently the “designer” of this plate does not understand that inductance decreases exponentially with distance. The plate has four “feet” that distance the plate from the inductive surface, causing EXTREME inefficiency in operation. Real induction adaption plates are FLAT! Don’t waste your money, buy a flat plate.

There are a lot of reviews of this in use as a heat diffusion plate for gas stoves. I am addressing here only its use with an induction stove under non-induction cookware.It's not great. First, with a portable induction hot-plate, even on medium temperatures, it gets hot enough to throw an over-temp error on the induction unit without getting hot enough to heat the pan. So, pretty much a fail. This, of course is dependent on the unit you're using it on.It doesn't magically work on a full induction stovetop either. The heat transfer to the pan has to be about perfect to do what you want it to, to make a non-induction pan cook stuff on your induction stove. It works OK at lower temperatures, but everyday cooking is not really an option.Positive, it's well made of apparently high quality materials. The handle works very well. It's out of the way when in use, and picks up the hot plate securely. And, at low to medium settings, it works OK. So, kind of mixed, in this application.
