Simple and works well
This drier is really nice for the price. It runs up to 70c and heats evenly. It is effective at drying nylon, the controls are good. The humidity sensor does the job and by that i mean you can just turn the unit on and when the humidity stabilizes at a low value it is done eliminating some guess work when you don't know how damp a filament is. People complain about it sealing to much or lack of external fans but i don't see the issue there. It leaks enough air to let the moisture out and fewer parts to break seem like a win to me. I even use it to dry spools filled with desiccant, it takes a while but it can process quite a bit at once in a controlled manner.

Dries filament and LCD screen lets you monitor progress!
Best filament dryer I have used. The standard function of the dryer is great. Heats up to cover multiple filament types. Has a fan to keep the airflow moving for even drying. Where it excels is the LCD touchscreen. Easy to set parameters. Easy to adjust parameters during drying session Easy to check current humidity level while you are drying. Being able to know if the filament has removed enough moisture is one of the most important things you would need to know. This is the only dryer I know of that offers the sensor to report current humidity level. Works great! Easy to setup and use!

It works to a certain extent
As often I did a bit o research and eventually settle for the SUNLU. THe unit seems to be well made and the large lcd is easy to operate. I did not test humidity levels with other instruments but the readings seem to correlate with the temps. The other reason that leads me to believe that works is the same that took a star away. Without using the 3D part that someone cleverly designed and made available on thingiverse which is essentially a spacer that leaves a gap open, the humidity stalls well before the optimal range of around 20%. Given the simplicity and effectiveness of the mod, the solution should be implemented by the manufacturer. Al in all, if you set your expectations right, this is a great little unit that does what it should for a good price. Happy printing.

Works awesome. Gets up to 70C for nylon. Easy to use touch screen.
Had to figure out how to turn it on, but after that it worked great. (Double click the on/off button.) Very impressed with the touch screen. Heated up quickly and holds temperature steady. Relative humidity went from 55% to 20% in just a couple hours. This was while drying ninja flex. Can set the timer for much longer than other units. The temperature goes all the way up to 70C to dry nylons which is a huge upgrade. By far the best filament drying unit on the market for this price. The only thing I would change is making the hole further down on the container. I place it on top of my lack table for my Prusa. If I use the filament hole there is a lot of friction when pulling it out and down. This is really only an issue when printing ninjaflex because the filament stretches, reducing its volumetric flow. Right now I just have the lid slightly propped up and run the filament through there. Similar to the last model. Some of these other reviews thinking the filament will loose significant weight during drying is a little far fetched. Maybe nylon. Then feeling humidity come out when opening the lid made me laugh. If you want more venting prop the lid up slightly, but it may be tough holding it at 160 degrees F. I never write reviews but am very happy with this product. Will buy another one soon.

Sunlu S2
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great filament dryer, runs well and able to use this with P1S for running TPU without issue.

Have a SUN lu Shiny Day!
I love all my Sunlu products from filament to dryers to pens and joiners, I've never been unhappy with a Sunlu purchase. The Sunlu S2 is a great filament dryer that I use to condition new rolls of filament before initial use and recondition old rolls before using again. The touchscreen is very easy to use and I wish the S1 could be upgraded to a touchscreen but it's okay. I have three S1 dryers, and this S2 is my second, but I also have an S4 for setting up big jobs. I can't say enough good things about the S2 and Sunlu line-up of products. Very happy. I would even say Sunlu needs a Core XY printer in their lineup!

Works exactly as stated!
This works exactly as I was hoping if you were thinking about getting one because you have stringing or quality issues just get it. I had some major stringing and quality problems printing with an old filament. I threw it in here for four or five hours, and the print quality was perfect afterwards.

A lot covered by others, but a couple of key points: 1 - there is a fan in the S2, and it isn't too loud in my office; however, I wouldn't want it in a sleeping area. 2 - The unit does dry the air and circulate it. Unfortunately it is an entirely closed loop (not hermetically sealed, but not a lot of leakage), so the moisture released just travels around the anulus around the filament spool. I found that if I lifted the lid for about 5 seconds and then closed it up again the humidity generally dropped by 1-2% per the incorporated meter. I don't know if this is real, but it seems likely. A future design upgrade might be some sort of limited draft vent to bleed off some of the moist warm air - it is really all about driving the water out of the filament by heating it, so letting in a small volume of damper room air is inconsequential in the whole scheme.

Very useful filament dryer, especially if you print regularly. Temperature control works well, the fan provides even airflow, and moisture removal is clearly noticeable after drying. I’ve seen improved print quality, fewer stringing issues, and more consistent extrusion, particularly with PLA and PETG. The unit is easy to use, quiet enough, and fits standard spools without problems. A great addition to any 3D printing setup. Good build quality and excellent value for money.
