Cathedral Products A4 Professional Series Laminator Machine for Office/Home - White

Seems solidly made. Arrives in a box and requires an IEC kettle lead that is not included. When powered up it heated and was ready in about a minute. I was worried by the other reviewer who claimed it took a long time but I certainly had no issues. We just laminated about 20 sheets and it worked fine with no jams or issues. I have no complaints at all. I'll edit this review if I encounter any issues but so far, in the strength of today, i would say its a nice unit.

A laminating machine is one of those essentials for the home office that you always wish you had but that you never get round to buying it. So finally I have one, and so far I'm very happy with it.The machine comes with some pouches already included - unfortunately it doesn't say anywhere what their thickness is, so in order to test the laminator I had to make an educated guess that they would have included the thinnest type as they probably cost less - so I selected the 75 mic setting.In terms of operating use, all you have to do is plug the machine in, select the pouch thickness and wait a minute or so for the smiley face to turn to green - meaning the laminator has warmed up and is ready to go. Just insert the pouch (gently - the machine will take it from you) and watch the laminated item come out on the other side. Job done.The blurb on the Amazon product page says this machine takes A4 and A4 pouches, however the instructions make no mention of A5 but instead say that it works with A3; I think they have included the instructions relating to a different model because I have measure the feeding slot and it's too small for A3 size paper (I don't have any A3 in the house to test it but I checked the measurements online). A5, being smaller than A4, will fit.This laminating machine looks solid and well made, so hopefully it will last a long time (only time will tell). It will certainly be very useful to make various bits of paper more resistant when travelling.

Great laminator until it completely jammed and the reverse button stopped working. Good quality and fast laminating but broke down after seven months of very intermittent usage. Disappointing, and vendor unwilling to answer requests for an exchange/repair.

There's such little complexity to this device that there's very little that I can realistically talk about. It's quick to use, heats up quickly, and laminates what you give it with a minimum of fuss. You feed in a pouch, it does its business, and what comes out is a fully laminated sheet of paper. I'm certainly impress by its performance given the price, so if you're looking for a good value laminator I can say 'This definitely laminates as well as you might hope'.
