These are quality and easy enough to install. I will say I thought they would be stronger. They are fine for screwdrivers and such, but they will barely hold a wrench (if you are in to that kind of thing). THey look good, and now that I have pulled my screwdrivers out of all their random drawers and tool box type places, I realize i have more than anyone will ever need. These have completley organizes my screwdrivers and i use one strip for random screws, nuts and bolts! (that strip looks totally unorganized to the naked eye, but I know what is where).

These magnetic tool holders worked well for me. They replaced some that I had for years, that didn't have nearly the same holding power as these do. I use them to hold drill bits, saw blades and some larger items. For those reviewers that said they don't hold heavier tools, they weren't supposed to. You can't put a hammer or a pipe wrench on these and expect it to hold. It's a magnet... a pretty strong magnet, but not effective for large tools. I have a lot of my drill bits on these and it takes a little pull to get the bit off the magnet... and that's a good thing. On my old magnetic holder, if I brushed against the bits, two or three or more would fall off. I'd be searching for them in the pile of stuff on my workbench. These magnets hold. I also used them in my basement where I keep my sets of keys for doors and my cars. They hold easily and don't fall off. I bought four of these. I probably will buy four more. Don't take the plastic covering off the magnetic. The magnets are strong enough to hold whatever you put on, providing you're not trying to hold a drill or pipe wrench. These are five star holders, if used in the way they were meant for. I bought these... I didn't receive them for free in order to write a positive review. I wrote a positive review because that is what i experienced with these.

Magnetic strips are the way to go for keeping your common everyday tools handy so you don’t have to rummage through a tool box or utility drawer every time you need a screwdriver or pliers. These SWANLAKE strips do a pretty good job for the most part, but the magnets are marginal for heavier tools like hammers or vice grips. With those tools I get the uneasy feeling that they could fall off from the vibrations of a door slamming or heavy truck rumbling by. As long as you understand their limitations these strips work well for organizing your tools.

For the garage, keeps it organized

Affordable, but magnets are weak. Harbor freight has some that are incredibly strong and much more affordable.

We live in Hawaii, where many of the older homes have carports instead of enclosed garages. I had mounted a 1" piece of plywood to my carport closet door to mount a hardware organizer and SWANLAKE 12" Magnetic Tool Holder Strip,Metal Tool Magnet Bar for Garage Organization which is great for keeping all my most commonly used tools readily available so I don't have to go searching in my tool bucket. I also purchased 6 Pack Garage Hooks Heavy Duty,Utility Steel Garage Storage Hooks,Wall Mount Garage Hanger&Organizer for Organizing Garden Lawn Tools,Ladders,Bulk Items,Bikes,Ropes and More Equipment for my various hammers I am always looking for. I'm not a very avid wood worker kinda guy, my home projects are usually pretty simple and both of these items have made it much easier for me to have everything close at hand.

Despite the packaging not having visible damage, two of the thin plastic ends on these magnetic holders arrived broken. This suggests cheap construction. I hate the hassle of returns.

I mounted these on the edges of my workbench and not only are the magnets strong, but also work as a handle when I fold the workbench in and out from the wall

Strong magnets

Purchased a couple of sets of these. Good magnetic strength without being difficult to get anything off the bar, but also strong enough for some heavier objects like multi grips, hammers, etc. Easy to install and gives you enough of the end pieces to fit together or use individually. Went with green to match the tool brand I use and very happy with them I ordered a second set.

I bought these to hold Allen keys and bit drivers which are round and they roll to the strong magnetic part which is annoying when your trying to organize by size!!!

This was a Christmas present for a friend of mine who is a DIY metalworker. As this was a present for someone else I do not have any first hand experience of using this product. I have however bought a SWANLAKE brand product before and was impressed with both the build quality, the price, and how the product functioned. This gave me the confidence to order their magnetic tool rails.
