Very good Dark Roast Coffee - especially for the price. Surprising character and body! Very competitive taste wise with any of the pre-ground Dark Roast bags sold by the better known companies such as Peets and Seattle's Best, and as good as a number of Dark Roasts shilled at "high end" at twice the price.If you are just looking for a good cup of Joe without spending an arm and a leg this could become a "go to".

I am a returning customer because my girlfriend absolutely loves Shoal point Texas pecan coffee! I have bought her other brands, but, she says this is the best tasting of all....

99% of the time I order whole bean coffee. I tried this on a spur of the moment decision based on other reviews. Usually ground coffee gets pretty bad in the last 40% of the batch due to drying out and resulting in a sub par cup of coffee. As soon as I had used enough of this coffee I placed it in my coffee gator which has a one way valve to release CO2. I think this helped and the first 75-80% was pretty good, the last 20% not so much. I use a pour over system and this coffee was really ground too fine for optimal use. Yesterday, I opened and ground some fresh beans and there is a noticeable difference. That said , if there are two or more coffee drinkers who consume this fast enough, I would think it would be fine. For a ground coffee I would give it 4 stars.
