Gotrax 20" Folding Electric Bike with 40Miles (Pedal-assist1) by 48V Battery, 20Mph Power by Peak 500W, Adult Electric Bicycle with 5 Pedal-Assist Levels& LCD Display, Suitable for Commuting

I have had this bike since the end of October 2024 the gotrax r1 and let me just start by saying this is hands down the best ebike I have come across as far as value for money !!! I have put well over 1000 miles on this bike and it gets around 20 miles per charge on throttle only mode. It is user friendly and I remember when I got it the instructions were very clear and it was an easy to put the wheel in it came with tools as well. Let's talk about features this bike comes with a 48 volt battery up tested might I add making it acceptable anywhere that usually does not accept lithiom ion battery's as well as giving the user peace of mind (no one wants there ebike to become a suicide bomb so that alone is a huge reason to buy this bike it has 5 speed settings which are customizable in the program menu for peddle assist throttle is not effected by the pedal assist settings.moving onto speed this bike easily does 20 in full throttle and have gotten it to go 35 down hills there was no worry or speed wobble at those speeds and I was very happy with the balance and overall handling. The battery can be charged in or out of the bike and it comes with two keys for the battery and one charger which comes with a voltage regulator. The customer service of this company is unmatched I unfortanly had an accident on this bike about 4 weeks back now in which I cracked the screen it was my fault for being on my phone with one hand I have since got a phone holder but the craziest part with the screen cracked and I mean CRACKED PIECES LITTERALLY MISSING it still turned on and worked up until I replaced it with the new screen. Go trax does a two year warranty and all I had to do to get my new parts was to contact them via email to submit my claim including a picture of the problem as well as my order receipt number which is very easy to find on amazon. I must say as I use this bike every day I am so very thankful to the go trax support team for there quick response to my claim and getting the parts shipped under warranty completely free of charge! They really honor and value there customers which is rare for a company nowadays and I will most definitely be purchasing from them in the future I already have my eye on an electric dirt bike they make and am currently saving for it. i use this bike for Uber eats and for commuting to and from work so this has been a game changer as far as not having to take care of a car pay gas prices insurance registration or inspection fees. The only con I can add to this review is that after about 3 months of use the screen had a bug where when I would turn on the bike it would do its normal count up and countdown but instead of the display coming on normally it would default to the settings menu and wouldn't let me exit. I called Amazon support and they contacted go trax who said theyd replace the bike under warranty. Being that I use this to commute I didn't want to wait for the time it would take to ship a new one and decided to see if there was a way to fix the big myself. I spent almost two hours string different things but I finally figured it out and the bug also never left that screen but to anyone who may have the same issue you just turn on the screen like normal and on the control buttons on the top right above the light button when the number gets to 9 on the count up you press and hold and it will exit that screen to the normal display and function as normal. So even the only con I can list turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I realized no one could steal the bike if they had the chance because no one knew about the bug and how to exit the screen it was like having my own little extra security. Fortunately the new screen looks and works just fine I'll end this review by saying I highly recommend this and any gotrax product to someone who is looking for a product that will last and be confident about the performance thank you again gotrax for this wonderful bike and the a Mazing customer support

I've been using the Gotrax 20" Folding Electric Bike for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed! The 48V battery gives me plenty of range easily up to 40 miles on a full charge, which is perfect for commuting and running errands. It rides smooth and feels solid on the road. The pedal assist levels are super helpful. I usually keep it on level 3 or 4, and it gives me a nice boost without feeling like I'm not doing anything. When I need more power, the 500W peak motor kicks in nicely and gets me up to 20mph with no problem. One of my favorite things is how it folds up. It’s perfect for saving space at home or when I need to put it in my car. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, and the controls are straightforward. Overall, this bike is reliable, fun to ride, and a great value for the price. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable electric bike for commuting or everyday use.

We have 2 of these. My wife had one and I sold what I had and purchased a second matching bike. Good solid bike, includes rear rack, good throttle response, fairly comfortable, though I may replace the seats... Battery life is very good, we really haven't run them all the way down. I would have preferred that the bike have a derailleur, they're single speed. The folding feature is nice. We put a rear trailer hitch carrier (about 38x20) fold the bikes and cover them with a tarp for long trips. Everything just clips together when you unfold them. Key is kind of hard to get at on the bottom of the battery compartment. Allows locking the battery in place and also another position that locks it in place but won't allow it be be turned on. You remove the battery once you fold the bike in half, using the key. Easy to assemble and includes tools for assembly and maintenance.
