Delicious! Lasted well while wrapped in original packaging too
This Tete de Moine is absolutely delicious. I've been slicing it using a purpose designed Tete de Moine girolle maker (from Amazon, natch) - "Zeller Cheese Slicer Set 22x15cm Out of Beech/Stainless Steel, Multi-Colour" The cheese package arrived well sealed, I collected it from where it was delivered after about 2 days after delivery, and stuck it in the fridge. For various reasons, it remained in the fridge for two months, it was cracked open last week - perfect condition. As per instructions I read somewhere, I split the cheese in half horizontally, wrapped half tightly and put back in fridge and put the other half onto the girolle slicer. Yum. The cheese was not slimy and did not smell awful, as I know some other reviews found - I think their cheese had been transported too warm for too long as it's not supposed to arrive like that. There is a very slight ammonia whiff having been open a week in the fridge, but it's not "needs-throwing-out" eye-watering levels of ammonia. After slicing has finished for the evening, I found storing in the fridge has been best, as otherwise it gets too warm and does not make girolle "flowers" well. I'm sure Swiss mountain dwellings are cooler in ambient temperature than modern houses. Looking forward to making our way through this cheese and ordering another! I'd definitely recommend it.

One of the best cheeses on earth
Amazing cheese. If you are buying it you probably know this already. Great to make a posh macaroni cheese with as it melts down nicely and goes well with truffles. Using the rotating blade device this cheese is great for dinner parties as there is an element of showmanship to the grinding of the wafer thin flakes using the device. Tastes amazing.

Very dry cheese on arrival.
This is the third Christmas that I have ordered a Tete de Moine cheese from Amazon. The first two years the cheese was fresh, delicious and worthy of its place on the Christmas table. This year’s cheese, delivered last week, is very disappointing. It arrived without the usual protective box and the freezer pack had completely lost all it’s chill. Once we opened it and put it on the Giroller (also purchased from Amazon) it was very dry and the knife did not glide over the surface. The result was granular and pretty inedible. Sadly it was a dreadful waste of money (almost £40!!) and as I can’t return it I am hoping the supplier reads this and offers a replacement cheese. I am very happy to send photos to prove the state of the cheese.

Delicious cheese!
The cheese is stunning. Delivery was delayed by 1 day (no fault of the seller) but it still arrived fresh and good to eat! It helps that the seller packed the cheese with some ice to keep it cool.

Monk’s head cheese - best for flavour
My wife loves this cheese for its flavour and texture - every time I buy it she is always impressed by it. I am not a cheese lover, so I am not in a position to pass any judgements personally.

Somewhat disappointed
Bought this as a treat for Christmas as it is expensive but were very disappointed with the cheese as it is rather dry and pretty tasteless.
