Great little radio
This is a battery-powered FM radio, which can also be paired by bluetooth with your phone to act as a speaker. A micro SD slot also plays whatever sound files are on it. I have only used it as a radio and it's fine. The sound quality is clear. I haven't saved the radio station I listen to all the time but it stays 'fixed' to that one every time I turn it on and off. It is possible to save several stations. The little screen does not show what programme is on like a DAB radio would but that's fine for me. Comes with a longish rubbery strap that might suit someone who wants to hang it off a belt or something, I just wrap it around the radio itself (it give more grip to it, which isn't a bad thing). The battery is lithium-ion and rechargeable. A charge seems to be quick (an hour or so) and with the radio on a lot (6+ hours per day) needs recharging maybe every two days. My only quibble is that when the radio is plugged in via cable for recharging, the volume is LOUD LOUD LOUD, so it cannot be on at the same time as it is being recharged ... EDIT this only seems to happen with data cables rather than a cheap non-data charging cable. I took the battery out and plugged it in to see what would happen - again super loud volume. I still love this radio several years on. Advantages: neat size, can be recharged using a phone cable either connected to a USB wall plug or into a computer, good sound quality. Disadvantage: cannot recharge the battery while it's turned on due to the super loud volume but this can be fixed by using a non-data charging cable if you need this. PS This also has AUX in socket and headphone socket.

Good quality at a great price
Well made and good quality at a great price. An aditional SD card allows plenty of space for tracks to be loaded. Just one small niggle with the operation of the software. The menu system has its foibles and trying to get it to play from files is not so easy. It also cuts out halfway through playing 100 tracks in a loaded folder. The user guide is not too helpful. Sound quality and battery life are really good.

Absolutely brilliant little media player
I have had this little beauty since September and I am really very, very happy with it. I mainly use it for playing music from a memory card; but it also works very well when blue toothed to your phone. The radio is limited in the stations it can receive, but that has not been an issue for me The sound is fantastic and the off/volume knob is really easy to use and gives a good click, so you know the unit is off (it also displays “Goodbye” which is kind of cute) Battery life is superb and it doesn’t take long to charge either. The display is good quality (as is the whole build) and the ability to search down to a specific song is great, once you get the hang of it I am extremely happy and would definitely recommend

I'm SO PLEASED with this Radio/SD Player
I treated myself to an early Christmas gift and I am happy with my purchase. I use a Mobility Scooter, and love listening to my music as I cruise along. I have had difficulty finding a suitable player that, not only sounds good, but has a traditional volume knob. With painful, swollen hands, and fingertips, it's not easy to turn up the volume, on modern units, without skipping the track I was listening to. Very frustrating when cruising along! This little beauty is fabulous and the sound quality is perfect. Warm, not tinny! I've not tested the radio (prefer my own music compilations), but I'm sure it will be fine because the quality of this unit feels good too. Not cheap plastic! Rechargeable battery, via USB, is a plus because my scooter has a USB charge port. An addional touch is the 2yr warranty (scan bar code) and, included in the package is a lovely, personalised note, with contact support details if required. Nice touch! Now that my music won't sound like it's coming from a speaker in a tin can, I'm looking forward to inserting my Xmas MicroSD Card, and tootling off out with my dog. I might even put some tinsel on my scooter this year😁 Merry Christmas everyone.

Ok
Product itself is fine. I wouldn’t pay that price for it if I was looking again. Definitely overpriced when you can get DAB for cheaper

Good basic portable mp3 player with speaker and simple button-based UI
This is an excellent and rare product: a basic portable mp3 player with speaker and simple button-based UI. The display shows the MP3 file name when playing the MP3, this is good. Sound quality is totally fine so far as I can tell. Also, wonderfully, it actually CAN be charged over a standard USB-C cable (it's not one of those myriad of devices that has a USB-C charging port, but are missing the pull-down Rd resistor so that the device will actually only charge when the other end of the cable is plugged into a old-fashioned USB-A port).

Good Sound, playing folders
For the size and price, the sound is good. Radio reception good, there are 10 buttons on the top, and you can assign popular stations to them. (The tiny manual recommends using a power lead as an aerial if you need to - reception quite good though. Playing from a card - there have been several comments on how to find tracks. Here is something not in the manual - you can use the 10 buttons on the top to key in a track number (even a 3-digit number). The folders are sorted in the order of adding to the memory card. So say you have 10 tracks per folder, then 34 goes to 3rd album, track 4. In Windows, the folder properties tells you how many files in a folder.

I now own 4 bluetooth speakers , all bought in past 2 years , the 1 thing in common with all 4 , they all play music directly from a micro-sd (or tf) card . I do not have a cell phone , i don't want to drag my tablet around to stay in bluetooth range . The sd card option is the most important option to me . One can have several different folders of music , lets say a rainy day folder , a christmas folder , a sunshine folder ...you get it . However trying to plod around an sd card to find certain folders is almost impossible with most units . One does need a small display for this purpose . Thats what makes the avantree model with built-in F.M radio(F.M. works good too) so attractive , it is not the greatest sounding speaker I own , but they are on the right track with this very portable , entry-level and affordable model . It has a back-lit display and 6 menu buttons below it which simplifies everything . Not to mention the 10 buttons on the top which will take you directly to your favourite songs by folder/file number , or to your favourite F.M. radio stations when in that mode . I am a musician and when in the company of others in a music environment , it is so easy to go directly to a track and play a specific song without fussing around . With a few more options available , like phone-answer-capabilities(not really a big deal to me) and a bit larger cabinet for some upgraded speakers and warmer , more bass booming sound , maybe a waterproof upgrade , we would then have the most attractive bluetooth speaker options in one package . I plan to buy one more , likely a high-end model with accompanying pricetag , some of my chums own the HarmonKardonOnyx , very pricy originally , now becoming affordable , I went to BestBuy this week and played all the bluetooth demo's again , that HarmonKardon is still the best sound for the money in my opinion ...I would already own one if had the micro-sd (tf)card option , a small display and menu buttons would be even more attractive .

To start off the sound is really good, It actually has some bass to it, and the equalizer is nice for files that might have background noise, you can usually change it to a different one and it reduces any static. When I first got it I thought it would be large but it's actually as small as a smart phone just a little chubbier, sometimes I will slip it into my pocket to keep listening to it, its that small. The strap is really nice you can hang it somewhere to get better reception or get it closer to you for better sound. Its nicer than other radios you might have to plug in or have to be on a flat surface. It has good mobility. Surprisingly it has as good of reception as any antenna radios i have, I have no clue how it get's such good reception without an antenna but it really does. Some stations you may need to put it in a better place for reception but once again you have to do the same with an antenna Radio too. It really shocks me how well the radio comes in, I've had 2-3 other radios without an antenna and they get nothing. This thing is an outlier in that regard. The Bluetooth works as intended though I've only used it a couple times. The SD card mode is fantastic, It even has a shuffle option, It's basically an MP3 with a great speaker and radio. I do wish you could shuffle just a certain folder but other then that, you can even fast forward and rewind, it even shows you the file that's playing not just a number like other radios. The Aux mode actually works like an MP3 so you could plug this radio into your car and play files off of it through your car speakers, which is a very unique feature. It was around 30$ when I bought it, which is not bad at all. And last but not least it has a 2 year warranty on it, This came in really handy when I had it for about a year and a half and it started glitching out on me, Turning on and off and not playing full files (For context I had used it everyday, at least an hour for a year and a half). Well, I contacted Avantree and Riza Helped me out They we're such great help. I was confused on a few things and they with understanding and kindness would email me back and walk me through the steps again (We ended up exchanging almost 20 emails). I tested what they told me to try, and the radio had gone bad. So they sent me a new one and had me send the old one back free of charge. Didn't even have to pay shipping, Now I'm rolling again with a new radio and a new 2 year warranty. You can't beat that service for only 30 bucks nowadays. It was well worth it. So to anyone who want's something to play SD and radio with a good speaker this is it, look no further cause you found what your looking for. I highly recommend Avantree because they stand behind their product and have great service. I will be getting more of their stuff in the future due to that. And Thanks again Riza for all your help!
