So much better than you think
This completely exceeds my expectations.I can easily raise my two man kayak on and off the roof bars without assistance and with minimal effort.Having read reviews I place a towel on the side of the car but can say the kayakhas never touched the side of the vehicle.Great buy, should have bought one years ago.

All by myself.....
Excellent solution to enable one person loading of kayaks onto our VW. Easy to fit, simple to use and very robust.Only criticism... would have like on option to mount it beside the existing roof bar rather than on top. Just an additional hole drilled on the side would facilitate this. I'll maybe try to do it in winter. The problem now is that it sits on top of the roof bar, so for two kayaks, I have slightly varying support heights, involving a fair bit of padding. Minor problem though, and overall a very clever solution.

Revolutionised my life
Fantastic bit of kit, simple to fit and incredibly effective for loading the SUP and Kayak to the roof of my car (higher than average). No more manual handling issues, or damage to my car!!

Easey to load Kayak
I should have got one of these Kayak Roof Load Assist months ago. It is very sturdy and strong and I can load the kayak on top of my car in 3 minutes, even though I am 78 years of age.

Strong enough but a bit rough around the edges
Strong enough and fairly easy to mount but a few sharp edges , watch your boat and your fingers , and you’ll will need a screwdriver or similar to push the sliding arm retainer button catches in as they are stiff and difficult to access . 7 out of 10 .

Does the job it’s designed to do
Makes loading a kayak on roof rack single handed a doddle. Like the idea of the cord that you attach to the back of the kayak to prevent slipping back.

Not strong enough for a sit on top fishing kayak
Not strong enough for a sit on top fishing kayak. The bar bends and then won't go back in without pulling it out and straightening it. Also the sharp "stop" on the end of the bar scored my kayak quite deeply. I have since put rubber over it but will find another way of loading my kayak as this just isn't strong enough.
