I tried to use this but every 3rd fruit caused the tool to jam up. The plunger went beside the stone and the whole thing jammed and had to levered free. The only good thing was the collection pot, which stopped the spatter and stones everywhere I got while using a different one ,hence two stars.

I've not given this 5 stars as the pip collection pot is a complete waste of time, in theory it's a good idea but in practice it doesn't work, out of about 12oz of cherries only one had the pip fall out into the pot, after that they all needed pulling of, I removed the pot and used the main tool which worked ok but every pip just hung on a piece of cherry skin and needed pulling of, once I got into the rhythm it was ok but a bit messy. It was so easy to use for olives.

This very simple device does exactly what it claims. It pits cherry with a simple and easy action. It captures the extracted stones in its own little container so that you can empty it once when you have finished pitting. It improves the enjoyment of eating cherries when in a mixed fruit salad or with cream/yoghurt as you don't need to extract the stones while eating. It is a lot simpler than extracting with a knife and much less messy.Once used the container of stones easily separates and the stones can be emptied into a bin or compost bin. A simple rinse under running water is adequate to clean all parts. Being all plastic there is nothing to rust and it seems reliable a robust so far.

Lovely little item, so nice I brought a 2nd one for my partner, nice quick postage.easy enough to clean once you get used to the way the plunger section sits, just as easy to clean with a baby wipe when out and about as well,very useful for jam makeing as well
