Scrumptious!
I have, for a very long time, made a virtue of sampling afternoon tea (and less frequently, morning coffee) at a variety of establishments around great Britain but mostly within easy reach of my home in Surrey. London is a 40 minute journey and the wealth of tearooms, unimaginable.I like to know what is on offer at any venue as it DOES vary as does the price. My friends and I make the journey about once a fortnight and take it in turns to recommend a tearoom however, since I bought this little gem, we pore over the mouth-watering photographs and enticing text together. We've never been disappointed, but it's hard not to revisit those we especially liked however, our aim is to go through the book before any disappear.Well worth the money even if you never actually visit any of the suggestions. Reading it is a pleasure.

Little gem
So fed up with the tea one gets in the chains, this book is a god send, been to a couple of recommended places already & its been a joy. Only one place was a disappointment over in Blthye rd, W14.The rest have been excellent. My most favoured place so far is Cafe Pekoe in Barnes, some of the best tea I have ever had, a place to linger and contemplate life and consider what we are all here for, this is what good tea and company is all about. This book is a revelation, an indispensable guide, avoid the chains at all costs, with this book in hand go seek the comfort of a fine cup of tea with excellent company and I guarantee the world will regain its lustre and all your troubles will fade away.God bless the author for compiling this guide for us all to enjoy, tea is life.

Could do to be better organised
A nice book, bought for a afternoon tea enjoying friend who lives in London. Nice write ups about each entry & a nice variations if budgets and styles of tea shop.Would have rated this higher had it been laid out / organised differently. Not easy to look by area for a tea shop. Indexed by North, south, East & West would be good. Hard to locate a nearby tea shop if you're out & about or near to home etc.

I bought this for a friend who has recently moved to London. She loves the book but was disappointed to find no map inside, however this is a small problem overcome with an A-Z! Its a lovely coffee table book but the places in the book are definitley ones to try!

Bought for a present
I have bought this for a friend who lives in London and enjoys afternoon tea! I have yet to give it to her but hopefully it will be a winner. At a glance the reviews are interesting and there are many types of places to visit.

yummy London guide
This is a lovely little book filled with yummy addresses for afternoon tea and bakeries. It is very up to date and despite knowing London quite well, I've discovered a few places.Recommanded to all the foodies out there.
