Solid and good looking Chinese Finka knife.
The media could not be loaded. The one-star reviewer complaining about "Communist symbolism" on this knife is pretty funny if not particularly just. You bought a Chinese made novelty knife, friend, and the novelty here is the fact that the design is based on the infamous NKVD/KGB covert ops “Finka” blade. However, purchasing this knife is no more “supporting Communism” than shopping at Walmart is. Heck, 95% of stuff here on Amazon is also Chinese manufactured. Anyway, the whole thing is like me ordering a MAGA t-shirt and then leaving a one-star review because I received a MAGA t-shirt. Onto the review:It's a Chinese budget knife with a design based on the Finka, compete with the characteristic folding bolster guard. It is, however, a liner locking design. The fit and finish are good, and the sharp, decently polished 440C stainless steel blade locks up nice and tight. The blade was poorly centered between the scales when I got it, but adjusting the pivot a bit made it a lot better. The knife is obviously meant to be opened like an old lockback design – using the finger groves to pull the blade out using your fingers, requiring both hands. However, I discovered that after I oiled the pivots (main pivot and guard ones) using KPL, I could fairly easily flick or reverse flick the blade open by catching the folded guard with my thumbs or middle finger at just the right spot. You can also catch a finger grove, get the blade past the detent, and then open it using a wrist flick inertia. So quick, one-handed deployment is doable, if you’re into that. The liner lock seems robust and has a solid, large engagement surface. The hardware is standard Torx screws. The pivoting folding bolster guard was a bit loose, but I got it nice and tight by adjusting the two pivot screws. I do wish that the knife had a paracord sized lanyard hole like on my other Finkas. The lacquered wood scales are quite attractive but not particularly great from a practical standpoint. The handle is rather slick, so it’s good that the knife features that bolster guard to protect your fingers.Generally, the knife is usable for various practical indoor and outdoor application but there are much better choices available in the same price range. This is foremost a novelty knife. It is a good one though, especially for the price. As a knife collector, I am happy to have this Finka in my collection!

INTERESTING KNIFE. I THINK YOU'LL LIKE IT
For the money it's a very interesting knife and a good one me thinks to add to one’s collection (if you have a knife collection like so many knife buyers on Amazon do).PLUSES: Pretty well made. No obvious production marks or dings or things that don’t line up right. Blade is straight and with no play (meaning side to side looseness/wobble) once the blade has been deployed in the open position. It locks up tight once opened. After I had lubed all the pivot points with dry-lube, knife was easy to open one-handed while using a flick of the wrist outward just to add a bit of “momentum” assist. Also opens easy two handed.Arrived about 85% sharp. Once sharpened fully, blade is sharp enough for most standard household, farm or ranch tasks (cutting open boxes, cutting string, rope, rubber hoses whatever). However, this is NOT a hard use knife. This thing is mainly built for show, not go. And it IS a good show. :) Glad I bought it, mainly for the novelty angle and the fact that nobody makes many of these “swing guard” knives anymore. It’s pretty much a relic of the past.CONS: Nothing that would be a deal breaker. As others have mentioned, the belt sheath is nothing to write home about, but it works OK and is quite functional. For the price point you really can’t ask for a lot in that department. Also, it’s a bit too large for an EDC knife (IMHO) and in some jurisdictions the blade length may not be legal for a carry knife (check your state/county/city laws on blade lengths allowed).Other than that, all good. Happy with the purchase. I consider the knife a good value as long as you recognize it for what it is and what it is not – as in NOT a hard use knife you’d use in the backwoods and want to bet your life on. :)

Well made, sturdy and good looking. Well worth the bucks.
Excelent knife. I love the color of the grip, blade shape and the material it's made of. This is just one nice knife. I read some of the reviews of the knife that it is made in Russia. I say, who cares. The company who made this knife, makes a good product. Who cares about their polictical beliefs. A huge portion of the knives we buy come from China which is mainly a communist country. It's not about a country's persuasion, it's about their products and this knife is a very good product. It is a perfect size and fits nice in the sheath. I did not like the sheath closer so I took it off and put a small piece of velcro in its place. It works better, I think. The blade locks up solidly and it is easy to open. I believe the price is perfet for the knife.

Cool larger finka
The quality of this finka for the price is nice. The 440c stainless blade has a nice finish. The scales on this knife is so well done. Awesome sharp and the lock up is nice. I wish it was more assisted but you can control the tension with screw adjustment. I would suggest using blue locktite on it and adjust the tension how you want it and there is a sweet spot to it were you can gave a good release and no blade wobble. For 31 bucks and how clean and large it is its pros outweighs the cons

Nice knife.
One star off for the sheath. The belt loop doesn't look that sturdy and there was something under it that scratched my new belt! One side of the horizontal wear loop was glued down and the other not! Why?Who knows, but whatever was stuck in the glue, scratched my belt the first time I attempted to slide it on.Not to happy about that! The screw on snap post should be unscrewed and have blue Loctite applied if you don't want to lose it.Mine was only finger tight.Another star off...The finger guard wasn't beveled on the inside edge, so it scratches the blade after little use.I believe this knife should be priced lower for these two reasons. If not for these complaints, it would be perfect.
