A very nice Thermometer for the price
Very nice thermometer. It was easy to use and setup. One thing I would have changed in the design is to make both inside and outside temps the same size numbers and put the inside temp on top. The one I had previously had both temps the same size numbers, it’s was what I was used to. It also tells you what the humidity is both inside and outside. It’s easy to read from 6 feet away. It doesn’t have a way to stand it up like on a desk or table but it does have a way to hang it on the wall. Very good purchase.

Accurate After a Day to Self-Calibrate
* UPDATE BELOW THE ORIGINAL REVIEW This is a replacement for the $14 Taylor unit found on Amazon, which worked for a few years, but always read a few degrees off. This new unit seems to work more precisely. NOTE —This is an “out of the box” review. I’ve only had it for a couple of days. I’ll update the review if it malfunctions. IMPORTANT — Read the simple instructions that come with it. They note that it might take several days for the sensor to connect and calibrate with the readout. Mine took about a day. I installed batteries and left the two parts side by side. Initially the readout indicated 10 degrees (they were indoors). After waiting a day, I noticed that the indoor and outdoor temps were identical. So I knew the device was not a DOA item, and worth installing. As other reviews noted, it doesn’t come with a mounting screw, but I have a large stash of those, so no problem. It fit the Taylor unit I was replacing’s screw but I decided to use a longer one in order to fit a thin price of light packing closed cell foam between the wood door frame mounting location and the unit. I hope this will help insulate the sensor from interior heat in winter, for more accurate readings. You can see in my photo that it’s a few mm away from the wood doorframe. Pros: > It works. Readout shows outside temperature matching bulb thermometer that I used to check accuracy. > Easy to read indoor readout. Very clear and simple. Large numbers that I can read without reading glasses. > keyhole on back of sensor is well placed for hanging. > One year warranty (though with no-name Chinese brands, who knows how good that will be). Hope I never have to use it. Cons: > As mentioned, no mounting screw included. Should be, though the maker doesn’t know just how you’ll mount it. I may try dangling it from a thin line so air flows all around the sensor. I’d guess that would provide the most accuracy. > Indoor unit uses 3 AAA batteries, while sensor used 2 AA batteries. Would have been nice if they both used the same size. Not much of a problem for me since I’ve long used Eneloop rechargeables, and have plenty. All in all, at this “just got it” stage, it seems a good product. So I can initially recommend it. * UPDATE AFTER USEAGE OVER A MONTH I’m impressed with the seller’s communication. I killed the outer sensor by getting it wet (my fault). The seller responded quickly to my question of “could I buy another sensor?” The answer was yes, but they don’t sell the same, simple, sensor separately—just an ungrade that has a readout on it. Since buying a whole new unit was pretty cheap, I opted to go that route. The seller reminded me that I could use the second internal readout along with my other one with the one outdoor sensor, and I’ve found that’s convenient to have two internal readouts, that I keep in the different parts of the house. So, kudos for customer support. And the internal readouts match temperatures, etc, so all good. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Accurate, easy to read yet compact design
Have been using this for well over a year, works great, haven't even had to replace the batteries yet. The inside temperature is dead on with my smart thermostat, so accuracy is very good. The readout numbers are large and if you touch the top, the screen lights up so you can easily read it in low light. Very happy with this system.

Lots of data on display, easy mounting great item to have
Working ok it's been too cold & snowy to attach outside yet the element but we did a trial run and it appears to be functioning properly, once the snow stops I will install it and everything will be perfect, lot of data on the display screen seems like a great purchase

Works great for monitoring greenhouse temperature
Using to monitor temperature in heated greenhouse. Distance is about 150 feet and works fine so far (2 weeks). Very effective and much simpler than walking all way out to greenhouse to check temperature.

Great deal.
Great value, works perfectly.

Great piece of kit. Bit of a shame that outdoor sensors when temperature drops below 0°C tend to show temperature nearly 2 degrees lower than it really is, for instance it is now -2°C and it is showing 3.9°C. For above zero temperatures it appears to be doing much better as gives accurate readings. I'd give it 5 stars if it was accurate down to half a degree.
