PA student here- Great book. I used this book and the pathophysiology made ridiculously simple text as well to study for my path class. It REALLY helped me to gain a conceptual view of the information, while still paying great attention to detail. I don't understand how 20 pages of this book (with a few of the pathophysiology) can be so easy to read, but still give me pretty much IDENTICAL information to what's in my school's text. It's magical. If you want to pass path, get it already!

necessary study guide
Helpful in understanding how questions are worded and the content expected in the answers. It also helped me focus on relevant content areas. If you have this it will give you an edge in the class.

Cute cartoons
Simple explanations, great for medical profession students. Cartoons bring another point of view and help support understanding in ways that medical books miss. Great supplement when the text gets overwhelming.

Great quick reference book. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Good short quick reference book for most common things you need to know in an understandable and easy to read book.

Good review of the basics
I'm getting ready to begin studying anesthesia (nurse anesthetist) and I find this book to be a great review for basic physiology principals. "Light reading," I suppose, to help refresh my memory. It is an easy read with good pictures and diagrams to help you retain the subject material. However, it is in no way comprehensive enough, nor does it have the depth, to be used as a first line reference for residents, fellows, or nurse anesthesia students.

Absolutely Awesome
If you are going to take an upper level physiology or you are review for boards, this book is great. I wish I had it the first time I took physio.

Not helpful for physiology course, but a decent aide for clinical years
I got this book originally to be supplemental in my med school physiology course as other in the MRS series are great review books. This book, however, falls short for that purpose. The topics covered are very limited and really aren't even covered in enough depth to be an overview before diving into textbooks. That said, the topics covered in the book are very clinically relevant and high yield for situations you will face in internal medicine, medical ICU, etc. I think this book would for that reason be a nice supplement during rotations, just not as a course supplement or boards review.
