Good gift for expecting parents
This is the gift to expecting parents. They are delighted 😊 Apprecciate Nityanand Misraji’s command over the language. Happy with the purchase.

Disappointed
Expected to use this book to name our first born. But to our disappointed, the book hardly had 5-10 good names that can be used. Also please note, this book is just a shortlist of names the author likes and is not exhaustive/complete. We found tons of Sanskrit names missing. There is no division between the gender or source. For example, we wanted to shortlist a boy name of Vishnu/Krishna but there is no way to do that than to scan through the whole book. Some names don't have good meaning or explanation of the meaning, then how could they be part of Sunama? Some names are also commonly used sanskrit/Hindi words that you won't be able to use as names. If we had used any name from this book, either our child would have disowned us or would have changed their name as soon as possible.

Short book but beautiful names
Have bought this book to help other parents in the family. Find it very useful. Now Misraji has produced a newer version with about 10,000 names - bought that one as well. Don’t use google for the baby names. Misraji is kind enough to even engage with you personally if need more help.

Useless book
Unfortunately, this book fell short of expectations. There are very few names that sound good in my opinion. There are names in here that have good meanings certainly, but have a sound akin to that of clanging metal pots or nails on a chalkboard. Certainly not worth the money, as it is also quite short in length and not extensive. You would be better off purchasing an extensive Sanskrit dictionary and going off of that for “good names”. There are also many legitimate good Sanskrit names that are missing from this book. Overall, I regret purchasing this.

Highly recommended
Very commendable effort by the author to put together unique Sanskrit/Vedic baby names. Very helpful for parents who want to give their kids a meaningful Sanskrit/Vedic name. Each name is mentioned with its root/origin and mention of that name in any Hindu Vedic scriptures. We used this book to name our first child. Highly recommended.

Sanskritik names but not good
The media could not be loaded. There is a long list of sanskrit names but I didn't like any, you would want names to be beautiful also.

Not a useful naming book
We got this book after watching YouTube videos and Instagram reels of the author Nityananda Misra. But this book simply has Sanskrit words, which are not name like. You won’t name your baby on the words mentioned in the book. Either they are too big or hard to pronounce or just plain Sanskrit words.

The names listed are way too odd
The writer(collector of these names) has invested tremendous effort for sure, however the final outcome is not that user friendly. To begin with I wish names of baby boys and baby girls were listed separately. the names are clubbed with M&F next to the names. M for masculine and F for feminine names. The only reason to buy this book was to find sanskrit names which are traditional yet sound contemporary.Internet is filled with insane names which make no sense and yet are mentioned as sanskrit names. The title of the book says "beautiful" sanskrit names. however there is a famous saying - beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. A sanskrit scholar might find these names beautiful but I don't think anyone now would be interested to name their child as Jetri, Jaigishavya, jyotishmanti, jhankari, jharjhari, shwetaketu, shodashi, vinidra vipakwa, ritastha, ekangi, bhrajisht, vyadish, mantravith, manthu, mandasmit... I am sharing this so that buyers get a sample of the listed names.I was looking for a baby boy name starting with letter A and I went through all the names in the list and found only one name Aaryav which I can suggest to anyone. Rest of the names sound like some Chandragupta Maurya era names.I went through the entire book for about 45 minutes hoping to find some good names. Pick any letter and there are hardly one or two names which can be used by common/normal people of current times. The meanings are beautiful though.

Great collection
It is a great collection of Sanskrit names. Its a quick and handy ready reference from a knowledgeable Sanskrit scholar like Shri Nityananda Misra ji. Greatest aspect is that reader can be assured of the correct meaning of words. As a personal opinion, not all the names mentioned in the book can be used to give names to babies. Many words are good to know.

Not very useful
Feels more like a Sanskriti thesaurus rather than a name book
