Extreme Tumbler Rebel 17

First of all, so far I love this tumbler. I mainly bought this as my 4 year old loves pretty looking stones she finds outside in the yard or at the beach. So I bought a small tumbler to make her some polished stones but it takes about 4 weeks to do a batch. This is fun but you don't get many after it is all said and done for the time you wait. This is why I bought what I believe is the best, affordable and more or less maintainace free large capacity tumble I could find. It is about as stout as it looks thus far. I know most get this for cleaning brass shells but it as works Great for tumbling and polishing rocks and stones. I HIGHLY recommend this if you want to do large batches of stones.UPDATE: I have had a few issues with some of the parts after continues use for several months but StainlessTumblingMedia has had the Best customer service and helped me out immensely. I would still Highly Recommend this Tumbler and StainlessTumblingMedia as a Great business who takes care of their customers..!!! THANK YOU

Straight out of the box it looks to be a winner. Compared to my original Thumbler's Tumbler AR12, the Extreme Tumblers Rebel 17 is on a whole other level. Everything about this tumbler is heavy duty. Fully welded frame with sealed ball bearings, 1/2" shafts, steel drum w/ bolted on lid, and motor supported front and back. Couple things to note that I would like to see changed, first is the switch. Its just a little inline rotary cord switch like the kind you find on a cheap desk lamp. Would be nice if they did a toggle switch mounted in the base. Second would be packaging. I despise Styrofoam packaging. Otherwise I can not wait to get some brass in this and see how it comes out.Photos shows it next to my old Thumblers AR12 for comparison and 338LM cases in the Rebel 17 drum to show scale.

The rollers are solid 1/2 steel rods, and the pillow bearings seem to be of a decent quality. I had good results with 22lr cases (for bullet swaging), without media. I prefer my Franklin Arsenal tumbler for cases, but this one doesn't have a timer and feels more heavy duty. The barrel liner should be thick enough for years of use. This tumbler also has the benefit of being able to tumble rocks for weeks on end.

This thing is built like a tank, super easy to use, really shiny brass after 2 hours, not too noisy either! Cry Once, Buy Once!
