Gethsemani Farms Kentucky Bourbon Fruit Cake & 1 Lb Chocolate Bourbon Fudge

The fudge was completely worth it and the fruitcake was great too. I also spent twice as much on another fruitcake from a different seller and it was good, acceptable, just fine, but this cake was better and the fudge.... never had better in my life.And months later I'm thinking of ordering again. That fudge was unbeatable, cake was not the star, all about the fudge for me. And at the time that I bought this, I also bought like 3 other fruit cakes. This was the best but the fudge really stole the show.

This is the only fruitcake I like to eat and I actually love the taste. It’s become a Christmas tradition to have one every year. Those who have it are generally pleasantly surprised when they like it.

I have been buying this fudge for many, many years. This was just the first time I decided to buy it on Amazon. Obviously I keep coming back...this stuff is delicious!!! Yes, it has a hint bourbon taste, but it's not strong...just perfect. So, perfect you'll want another piece. It's truly great any time of the year!

First off the fudge - a good and really strong bourbon flavor. Handles the sweet tooth and slaps you with that bourbon kick - what's not to love.The fruitcake - now I'm a bit of a fruitcake snob. Love a good fruitcake - but think most fruitcake is garbage.This stuff is REALLY good fruitcake - might not be the best I've ever had - but easily top 5.

Ok the holiday fruitcake jokes don't apply to this bourbon soaked fruit cake. Have been ordering them and giving them as gifts for years. Get the jokes when recipients respond but also the high praise for how good this cake is. Never had anyone ask that we stop sending this as a gift. The fudge is amazing and should come with an alcohol consumption warning. The side benefit is, we support the Monks at the Abbey!

I have previously ordered the fudge and was very happy with it. Since I am one of those weirdos who likes fruitcake, I ordered the combo this time. I was severely disappointed with what I received. This time the fudge was contaminated with nut shells, and I threw it away rather than risk tooth damage. The fruitcake was not all bad. Clearly, the fruit and nuts were of the highest quality. I was looking forward to the bourbon flavored fruitcake, but unfortunately the overwhelming flavor profile of the cake was molasses. I understand there are regional variations in recipes, but this just missed the mark for me. I'm sorry but this product does not match it's premium price point.

But could have been a little fresher. Not to say it was stale—it wasn’t. Just not at the height of its freshness. Also ordered was the chocolate bourbon fudge. It was super yummy, no complaints
