ANF - my First choice
Very good quality & composition, will certainly recommend and buy again. My first choice for my very precious labs.

The best food there is to buy.
This food arrived this morning so i decided to try it out on the 4 dogs here that cant have a grain based kibble. On opening the food that comes in a good thick plastic sack for protection and storage was the most lovely smelling kibble. I have to say all the dogs went crazy and all wanted to see what the new food was.The kibble is a very good size indeed for the bulldogs that are 10 months old and 16 kgs each. Not a kibble that will be chocked on unlike some that is small pieces. And the smell is lovely. On the back of the sack it lists everything that is within the food.Plus a guide as to what i should feed each bulldog.I filled each dog bowl with the correct amount plus some raw chicken which they have every other day. The bulldogs are normally fussy eaters, but these babies ate the lot without coming up for air.If you have a dog and care about what you feed it then buy this wonderful food! This sack will last them a while for sure.Thank you Essential Foods for allowing me to experience this food of yous.

Good quality mix, dogs really enjoyed it, safe for almost all adult dogs.
This is near identical in appearance to the chicken and rice kibble also made by ANF and has been equally well tolerated by my two adult Springers. Lamb is particularly safe for dogs with allergies and rice is equally well tolerated, so this is a very safe mix to introduce into the dogs' diet.The mix contains "no oats", something blazed across the package, which is slightly puzzling, as oats and oatmeal are generally well-tolerated by dogs. Presumably it is also used as a bulking agent, oats being relatively cheap, and that is why it is mentioned.The kibble is small - 5p piece sized - and would suit all adult dogs apart from very small toy breeds. Our dogs really enjoyed it and left a clean bowl, as they did with the chicken variety of this. They enjoyed it so much that it was used instead of treats for behaviour reinforcement on walks. It's a quality mix that should go down well with even fussy eaters and is mild enough for sensitive / elderly tummies.

Another high quality healthy dog food
Our Shih Tzu is fairly picky about her food and, on top of that, small enough that we need to be careful about the size of her kibble.The ANF Canine range comes in small, dry, oval shaped pellets that she seems to manage really well and over the time we've been feeding her these, she's been hunting around for the bag between meals, so it's obvious that she likes the smell and taste.The ingredients listed have a high percentage of meat (Lamb in this case) and rice as the two main ingredients and also contain no wheat, corn or oats, which can sometimes act up on a dog's stomach if they have an intolerance to these ingredients. The food has been designed to be as nutritious as possible without resorting to using bulking agents to bulk up the food, but this does not seem to be reflected in the price, thankfully.Some dogs may find these too dry and you could add a little water to soften them. We've mixed them in with Royal Canin, which is slightly wetter, and this seems to appeal more to our dog. The rate she eats them, though, means that she gives this her approval!

good feeding for your pooch..
ANF Canine Lamb & Rice Adult dog is a kibble which I am happy to recommend to any owner of dogs which you want to feed them a dry dog kibble for the sake of their teeth but yet want your dog to enjoy eating their food.I have two dogs which I have to admit they are fussy when it comes to their food plus add in a delicate stomach and I have to be very particular what I feed them.There is a smell of the food but not overly so, the scent must be pleasing to our canine friends as the moment I open the bag and put the food in the dish my dogs are soon getting excited for they know they are getting fed. I do like this food for one main reason it has not upset them in anyway which make my life more pleasant especially when it comes to cleaning up after the two dogs.I am happy to recommend the ANF Canine Lamb & Rice Adult Kibble which is produced by Kodo Inc. as a good kibble which is both pleasing to the dogs and pleasing to me as their owner.

Dogs couldn't get enough
I received a 3kg pack of this for my dogs to help me review. Well I couldn't eat it myself not being a furry! It is a dried food product, which is dehydrated lamb meat, with no corn and no wheat. These are a different shape to the normal chunks of dehydrated crunchies I have tried before - flat underneath with a rounded semi-circle shape on top. And they were all the same shape and size. Both my adult dogs really enjoyed this as a complete dog food, although I did not want to totally change their food suddenly for fear of upsetting their old stomachs, so I fed them this gradually, at first with their usual food and then eventually without their usual food. As a complete pet food for adult dogs I am sure I could quite happily feed my dogs this all the time as they did eat up everything.I would happily recommend this from my dogs' reactions, which of course is the real test!

All signs suggest its a good food
I hadn’t heard of this brand until very recently, when Arrow graciously offered to try it out. As an ex-racing greyhound Arrow’s digestion doesn’t favour rich beefy/marrowbone jelly type formulations, so this ‘rich in lamb and rice’ was just the ticket. She is never overly excited about food, so the first test of dog food is ‘will she eat it’, and in this case she seemed to take to this as enthusiastically as any she’s had. The kibbles are smaller than the ones she normally has but that didn’t seem to deter her. The second test of a dog food is the quality of the end result, and I can report that from her first meal this was beautifully formed and rolled off the shovel cleanly! On the strength of 3 kgs I can’t see any difference of shininess of her coat etc but the ingredients list look credible to provide a good diet.
