When I first started this project I tried following the written instructions and watched the videos they provided a QR code for. The manual is a little hard to follow along with when it requires you to do anything other than just single crochets. The videos have no voice over, it is pretty much just watching someone crotchet the mushroom. I had to watch multiple other videos on magic circles. Granted this was my first time crocheting so I expected to struggle a little bit. Overall i’m really happy with the way my mushrooms turned out and this kit got me really into crochet just know you will probably have to resort to other tutorials for some parts.

Definitely not for beginners. The yarn is pretty hard to work with as well. But if you are a bit more experienced and willing to try, they make very cute little shroomies!

As a beginning crocheter, I’m finding this to be VERY confusing. The videos go very fast, don’t explain anything at all. The booklet has pictures but again doesn’t explain it very well. I do not believe this is for beginners by any means.

It doesn't matter how many times I read the instructions or watch the videos, I still can't do it. I also expected the yarn to be more beginner friendly than it is. Cute kit, but not for beginners. Wish I hadn't bought it.

I always wanted to learn how to crochet, and these little mushrooms seemed so easy to make!.....But either i am terrible with my hands or these little guys are actual really hard to make. The istructions and video tutorials were clear and easy to follow, but my fingers did not want to cooperate. This is a giftable set, for someone who already knows the basics, not for a ENTIERLY new beginner.

This is one of several beginner kits that I purchased. I ended up returning it because the yarn is so cheap and it becomes unraveled making it hard to use and not beginner friendly

I ordered this as a refresher as it has been many years since I’ve picked up a crochet needed. I needed something that could teach me how to relearn even the simplest of stiches as I had completely forgotten everything I knew of the subject. This kit had everything needed to make 3 cute different keychain projects, including the yarn, crochet needle, and detailed instructions with YouTube links (and since I am a visual learner I found this very helpful) all included in its own carrycase. I have really enjoyed learning how to crochet again, and going beyond my initial knowledge and also learning some different stitches has been fun. I look forward to crocheting more complex pieces knowing with a little more practice I will be able to. This kit would work for a wide range of age levels, from the young to the older-but-forgot how to'ers like myself!

The yarn that keeps splitting and the scissors won't cut. You're better off buying instructions and your own materials.
