Warming up the restaurant idea
This book is well conceived and constructed and achieves the reader's expectation. A lot of the advice inside is of the 'well that's fairly obvious' kind but it is the obvious that tends to get overlooked and it does focus the mind. The result was it got me to rethink many aspects of what I want to do, which is the purpose of the book.Sara's writing style is easy to read and the startups website is worth a visit as well.All in all good advice, presented in a clear concise manner free of jargon by someone who knows what they're talking about.I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start a restaurant.

Excellent Guide
read this book in an afternoon and found it very educational, not just about the restaurant business, but about business startup in general - lots of fab advice and tips, inspirational stories and very enjoyable to read too - just the right amount of information I think.

This book seems to be aimed at people who are completely new to hospitality, which is odd as this is an incredibly hard industry in which to make money. For me it raises the issue that if you need this book, you probably aren't even nearly ready to think about opening a restaurant.I've been in hospitality for 10 years and was hoping for something a little more in-depth, and aimed at professionals.That said, if you are new to the industry it'll probably be quiet enlightening, and I wish you luck.For sheer inspiration check out Setting the Table: Lessons and inspirations from one of the worlds leading entrepreneurs

Excellent startup guide
This is a very useful and comprehensive guide for the would-be restauranteur. It includes advice on all aspects of running a restaurant business, including marketing, staffing etc, as well as tips from entrepreneurs who've made it.

Good Read!
This is a good read indeed! I think This book should be given 2 everyone thinking of starting a restaurant. It's practical, clear, precise, and informative. It really goes beyonde the boundaries of basic information and is really inspiring.
