My child has slippy, extremely straight hair, and a lot of it. It's difficult to find barretts and clips that won't just slide out, or fall out while playing. These babies will stay in your child's hair, trust me I've done the work. They're durable, don't break, not flimsy, not held together by glue. Big enough to hold hair and do a job, but not so big they're comical or cartoonish. Love these.

Beautiful colors and nicely made, but much smaller than expected

These clips are beautiful and hold on very well. I don't have to worry about them sliding down my thick hair. I prefer to wear them to pull hair back from my face when I'm wearing my hair down. For a sleek, smooth look, like a pony tail, I prefer clips that lay flat onto my head. If I have my hair up in a pony tail, I don't want to use these clips on the side to keep any shorter hairs from falling into my face. The end part of the clip (where you grip and pinch to open the clip) sticks up too far. For that reason, these are much better for a more full hair style where they can add a little color and help hold hair in place.
