HUAFA Cookie Press: Here are experiences of delicious biscuits and cake decorations from a customer: Cookie Recipe 1 1/2 cups of butter or Marg 1 cup of granulated sugar 1 egg 2 tablespoons of milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 4 cups simple flour 1 teaspoon baking powder Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Stir the butter and sugar thoroughly. Mix egg, milk, extracted together and gradually add to the butter / sugar mixture. Add the flour and baking powder gradually to make a smooth dough. Do not cool Place the dough in the cookie press and press the cookies on UNGREASED non-stick baking sheet. Bake for 4 minutes. Carefully remove the cookies with a pallet knife while you are still warm. Cool on rack. I used my food mixer to beat the butter and then put sugar on my dough hook when I added the flour as it is a stiff (but slightly sticky) dough. When using the press, press it against the baking pan, pull the handle once until it locks, then lift it off the can. The dough shape should be on the can. If you grease your tin, the dough will not stick and you will have big problems. Hope that helps!!! What makes it unique? 1. Dreadful.
Actually not worth any stars. It arrived without packaging - just the box as you'd see on a shop shelf. Luckily the contents were undamaged - the cardboard corners were a little battered as were the edges of the box seal (nothing to prevent it from being opened) - no sellotape across at all. The interior was wrapped in film to keep the lid on the box and then another film around the bottom of the box to keep the contents in place. Once opening the plastic film the discs were found to be extremely shoddy workmanship - they have rough edges as though someone has just used a hacksaw to cut them out. They are also tarnished in places. I would NOT want to put this product anywhere near food - I can only imagine the bacteria that would be lurking in those rough edges no matter how much washing and scrubbing and disinfecting. I opted for the large version. At almost £29 I would have expected fair quality. This is only fit for scrap - do NOT purchase this item. It actually says "JIALE" on the outer box with a small sticky label saying "HUAFA" elsewhere. I am returning this item with more sellotape to keep the box safely sealed - which is more than how it arrived.

Cheap and nasty - Not fir for purpose.
On the face of it, this looks like a good product. However, when trying to press any form of cookie dough or buttercream through the slotted pattern, the collar flys off the barrel. Closer inspection shows why. The screw thread on the barrel is cheaply pressed into the metal and is very shallow. The corresponding thread inside the plastic collar is just as bad - it's not even a complete thread. As for the material of the collar itself, it certainly doesn't look as if it's food grade plastic - Looking closely at the cookie dough there are tiny flecks of black plastic from the collar itself, presumably from poor finishing when it came out of the mould. All in all, very disappointed with this not inexpensive cookie press.
