It looks simple (no more than a piece of shaped bent metal) but it really is a godsend when working with racks.Want to insert a rack nut? Lodge one side into the rack hole, put tool through hole angled so the slight bend is "behind" the other side of the rack nut and pull.Want to extract a rack nut? Wedge tool between one side clip and rack, lever tool "straight" and push.

very flimsy and bends too easy. Not a quality

Works better than the pro version (.ie the clamp as you do not need the amount of access to the back of the racking), just enough to clip one edge of the captive nut in place. A quick pull and its fitted

Works very well for inserting or removing cage nuts in a rack, better than the more complicated tools such as  Deluxe Cage Nut Tool 19 inch racking to extract cagenut from rack AV,IT , however it doesn't work in a hole immediately above or below something that is already in the rack. The problem is that this tool is too wide near to the narrow tang that hooks into the hole and consequently fouls on anything next to that hole. The best answer is to use this most of the time and the more complicated narrow tool where access is restricted.

The cage nuts used to attach items to the rack are a tight fit and this will save a lot of pain and aggravation when fitting or removing cage nuts..

For so long I didn't even know this tool existed. Life changing!
