Honestly, I don’t see why this isn’t rated 5 stars. The build quality is excellent — thick, durable glass with a silicone base that keeps it from sliding around. It’s got a premium look and feel, and even though it’s a little heavy when filled, that’s expected since it’s real glass. The filtration speed is surprisingly quick — around 10 minutes tops — which is impressive considering everything it filters out. From what I’ve read, it’s one of the only pitchers that actually removes parasites, bacteria, and microplastics, so that’s a big plus for me. Once the water’s done filtering, it tastes noticeably cleaner and more refreshing. I’ve had it for about two weeks now, and no cracks, leaks, or issues. If I could change one thing, I’d just want a larger size option because this one runs out fast.

An excellent product. We used to use Brita but I wanted something without plastic for the container and something that could maybe filter even better. The dual filter system works exceptionally well and while it takes a little bit for the water to filter just know the exceptional water you'll be having. I really do taste the difference it's some damn scrumptious water. I have one thing to note though. There is a "break in" procedure for the filters the first time you use it. This is to get them functioning as intended and to avoid any bad tastes so be sure to read that in the instructions before using to drink. I ran a couple of cycles of water through. Once ready there was no taste just proper filtered water. Very happy with the purchase. If this fits into your budget I'd give it a try!

I bought this pitcher last summer when there was an algae bloom in the lake our town gets water from. It filtered out all the funky taste and smell. The water tastes AMAZING! I love that it's a glass pitcher, it is astheticley very pleasing and easy to clean. The pitcher is tall but I keep mine on the counter and refill our bottles in the fridge. It's on the heavier side so I don't think it would be good for young kids but pretty durable. I have accidentally set it down pretty hard on the counter and it lives! It does filter a little slow but I did see that in the reviews, if you have more people in your household then you should probably do a bigger size. This filter makes our tap water taste so good, I'm considering getting a to go bottle from lifestraw, I'm impressed.

I read a number of reviews before ordering this. I know all types of water filters tend to be slow since the water does have to go through the filtration process. I’ve used faucet type, an under counter one, and the built into the frig door ones. NONE of them are fast when dispensing. We ended up relocating and my water is now hard and leaves those ugly whitish deposits. Waterlines in this area are old with lead likely too. This water pitcher filters many of the contaminates. While I would prefer a more permanent solution, this is the more economic and practical choice for now. I went thru the initial cleaning directions and this water was fairly slow the first several times but has gotten to a reasonable speed similar to all the types I have used over the years. When I feel like I will need more capacity due to guests, I decant the filtered water into another carafe to have more on hand. The pitcher fits into the door of my counter depth frig. You may want to check the height clearance of your shelf. The silicone cover on the bottom is a plus since this is glass. I wish the decanters ordered had those as well. I prefer to avoid the chemicals released by plastics, so this seems to be a good solution. Another reviewer mentioned adding additional replacement water over the day. This works pretty well for us. I find it will allow me to enter 2-2 1/2 cups at a time (it takes a few minutes to process thru the filter, if I think about it in a few minutes I add another one if it was very low). My household consists of 2. If I had more family still around the extra decanter would help. One last note- filled this weighs slightly over 6 pounds. I have severe arthritis and this is tolerable to grip and lift, more would be pushing it.

Decided to use my water tester from a previous water filter to make sure water was pure. Wished I’d done it sooner before the return window closed. Water tested the same as tap water! Nothing filtered out that I can see. I did a google search and sure enough, the ratings for these pitchers are terrible for filtration. Tough lesson to learn.

I love this water filter. It fits inside my refrigerator or easily. But mostly I love it. It’s glass instead of plastic and the water tastesp really good. It is slow the first few fillings until the air is forced through the filter. Everything is quality in this purchase. I’ve given away my previous water filter filters and only use this one.

I have had the same water filter for three years now. It's still my favorite water filter I have ever had. We use it daily and follow instructions to change the puck filter when needed or to taste. It might seem slow to refill at first, but once you learn it's speed, it takes 5-10 minutes depending on your method. I will do a slow and steady stream and it fills up fine, around 5 minutes. No problem!

Excellent water filter, I just wish the filter was stainless steel like the Aarke (which does not filter the # of containments this does) to have the least amount of contact with plastic possible. I love the thick glass; the 7-cup pitcher is a good size for daily use for 1-2 people. The pitcher looks beautiful on the counter and the water tastes very “clean.” For anyone complaining about the filtration speed — it’s seriously not that slow and one thing to remember is that any filter that filters what this one claims to do will not be fast. The point is to *actually filter water*, that’s why it takes awhile.

It’s been over two weeks since i started using the filter. Requires a lot of patience to wait for it to filter. Also could be the quality of the water in my apartment is not that great and the filter is actually doing its job. As long as I’m home and topping it up regularly, I can stay ahead of it. Also useful to pour out the filtered water into other glass jugs. We have a family of four at home, and it’s not enough for four - might consider getting another one but depends on whether the flow improves over time.

This has been a great buy for our 2-person household. I was worried the pitcher would filter slowly because of some reviews on this page, but we find the filter works fairly quickly. We love it!
