Brilliant
Initially I was hesitant that this device would merely document in precise detail exactly how I managed once again to kill my indoor plants. However with the associated software App the Koubachi WiFi Plant Sensor sends you plant variety specific reminders - watering, misting, fertilising and adjusting light and temperature levels. So far the Bromeliads appear to be flourishing. The Sensor would make a great School Project.

Surprised
Small neat and fairly easy to set up from an iPad but the configuration did not work from Windows (different configuration software). Requires a little fiddling to link flower type to a unit and @ 99 quid a throw you'll probably won't be keen to buy dozens of these units. Strangely there seems to be no method of getting additional units at a cheaper price. What's really astonishing is that the wifo connection is very old technology. Its only a+g at 2.4. I had to switch on this protocol to use the unit. Koubachi's response was just a "thank you". So this part of the technolgy is weak.Back to thr application, once you've linked flower to unit, it takes a few days to sort of run in so we'll see how useful this really is. It's clearly orientated at the consumer indoor plant market and it seems that if you require more information you have to buy the pro version. In this way its not as good as the Netatmo (Ok does a different job but the interface is much much better). All in all good potential weak execution on HW & application so could be a lot better but that's the price to pay if you're an early adopter. I'm surprised to have found it in the Apple shop as well; it looks as if Apple's criteria's to add to its own catalogue are not very demanding.
