Better than I thought
The Griffin slim-fit case I purchased was ok, but the rubber outer ring makes it difficult to slip the iphone 4 into a pocket. The clear plastic back causes lens flare/washing out of iphone flash photos. So I tried this inexpensive case by Incipio, only learning about it online through an Amazon search. It turned out to be a good purchase. The case is smooth hard plastic. This model "Tonic" is pearl-white and as close as you can come to the white 3GS iphone look. It doesn't really ad weight or bulk to the iphone 4. Snaps into place and fits well. The large opening on the back for the flash and lens is much bigger than the Griffin case.I was surprised to see two glossy screen protectors and a cleaning cloth in the packet. In all honesty, the plastic screen protectors provided with this case are not the quality you'll find with PowerSupport screen protectors. That's ok, I ordered them and will replace the Incipio protector. Again, I wasn't expecting this nice little extra. The price is right, the product seems like a good value and it looks really nice on the iphone 4. Too bad they don't carry these cases in the Apple Store... oh well, that's where Amazon comes in... doesn't it.

Depends what you're looking to get out of it
Well, at first glance I was angry about this product. It's incredibly cheap, thin and flimsy (clear plastic). I was expecting the thinness but not how flexible the plastic is, you can tell if you bend it it will explode into thin brittle shards. That being said, this case still meets my needs. I have the white 4S and I wanted the most unobtrusive shell I could find so that I could lay my phone on a table without scratching the camera lens. I never had a case on my 3G. I'm also bothered by fake buttons and blister buttons that bumpers have. This is a clear thin shell that won't be aesthetically distracting and will provide some protection against scratches. The material is slightly less slippery than the phone glass which is nice. It has a slight lip on the front face so if the phone is accidentally set face down, not the end of the world, which I won't rely on but definitely appreciate. Downside of this lip: it has a sharp almost coarse edge. Wish they'd taken care to smooth this edge. Slide your phone around on your ear during a call and OUCH. Time will tell if this bothers me enough to stop using it. I may even take a fine sandpaper to the edge. I just feel like this is a mark of cheaper craftsmanship, its disappointing. The large oddly-placed INCIPIO logo on the back cheapens an otherwise sleek phone, tastefully placing the logo at the bottom of the back would have been so much nicer. I know you want your brand seen but ugh it just looks tacky. The screen protectors and cloth were a lovely bonus and appreciated. However go ahead and add screen protectors to your cart, these are too matte, instantly fuzzes and strobes your screen. Oh well.Overall I would have expected this quality from a $5 case, I am 100% sure $25 was overpaying here. I'll go on my merry way with this case though, I love being able to see the phone itself completely, works for me.

Incipio iPhone 4/4S feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case
Shipping from the vendor was very fast. It perfectly fits the iPhone 4S and the phone is easily fastened within it. It is slightly translucent and does not totally obscure the view of the finely crafted phone. This is a harder type of plastic case. The advantage of this is that it easily slips in and out of either pockets or purses. On the other hand, be attentive if gripping the phone with moist hands. In addition, the package includes two screen protectors. These are a real bonus because of the convenience of not having to order them separately. Moreover, they are the good quality type that are easy to attach and the air bubbles quickly disappear within hours. Cheaper versions are almost impossible to rid of air bubbles and are more difficult to set in place. This screen protectors in this package are a real relief from those troubles.

One of the best
This case may be one of the best minimalistic cases out there. When I purchased this case, I was originally looking for a case that would protect the iPhone from scratches and bumps without adding too much bulk. This case does just that. The case itself is made out of a soft polycarbonate material that holds up well to most objects in your pocket (I wouldn't recommend putting it in the same pocket as your keys). It isn't designed, however, to protect your phone from drops over 2-3 feet. The Feather has a slight lay-on-the-table design but not much. I wouldn't count on it to protect the screen on your phone if you place it face-down but any screen protector should help with that. The ports and buttons remain untouched and the cutouts are large enough to allow for easy access. The only gripe I have with this case is that the included screen protector isn't that great. I've been using it for a week now and I already need a new one. It scratches very easily, comes off faster than it should (doesn't stick after a week), and rainbows when placed under most lights. If you're looking for good screen protectors, I've heard good things about the Spigen Steinheil series. Personally, I would recommend getting screen protectors from Monoprice. They're cheap, last a long time, and rival the quality of some screen protectors that you can get from the Apple Store.Overall, I think this case deserves a 5 but I docked one star off because the included screen protector is pretty terrible. In any case, I would definitely recommend the Incipio Feather for anyone who is in the market for a good minimalistic case.
