Use for my homebrewing.
I use this carboy to vacuum 6 gals. of wine at once vs. using my 5 gal carboy. No complaints on it.

Perfect for my mead!
Glass is expensive, but if you are fermenting, don't go cheap! This is a high quality glass and it is designed for the pressure fluctuations of a fermented product. This is exactly what I need!

Arrived cracked
Received 3 cracked 6 gal premium Italian carboys from North Mountain Supply. Filed warranty claim with pics . Phoned them also to verify. Was told new ones would be sent out. However, next day received email from Heather, stated she reviewed pics and carboys were usable and not damaged. Stated it was the seam where the glass was molded together. The shipping box is minimal,at best. Will edit this once they decide if they want to honor their warranty or not. Additionally, I volunteered to send them back, so long as they covered the shipping cost.

Paid extra and received what appears to be a knockoff anyways.
The bungs that came with the carboy are too small( #6 made for a 1 gallon carboy) the airlock doesn't have holes in the cap and only good for secondary.(if used in an active primary I'm sure the cap, whole airlock, or bung being used would pop off exposing contents being fermented.) The carboy itself has many tiny air bubbles in the glass making stress spots and probably not good for primary either. Very doubtful that this is infact an Italian carboy since they are known to be of the highest quality. The only positive I have to say is it was protected in the packaging better than the cheap knockoffs usually are. Extremely disappointed and tempted to send back.

Good price.
Good price for a 6 gallon carboy. The plug sits flush when installed and is a bit fiddly to get out, but it's air tight.
