Used to cover musical instruments
Cut the bottom off where the zips are, use the duvet cover to keep the dust off my alto saxophone when it's inside the mute waiting to be played and the pillow case to cover my ukulele for the same reason.

Bit small
Fairly decent quality but is too small for our toddler's pillow and duvet - we kinda have to fold it up a bit to fit in.

Better ones out there.
I’ve been looking for a plain white cot bed duvet cover for some time. Material isn’t silk but I wouldn’t go as far as calling it “rough”. Value for money, good idea not putting the little zip handle on for babies to swallow.Update: the zip broke off in the first wash. Probably wouldn’t recommend this now.
