This product got a 5☆ review by Ideal Home back in June for best budget steamer at around £50, so I ignored the negative reviews on here. I had read good reviews on other retailers sites, where it was £54.99! Unfortunately, when I received my order from Amazon there was water in the tank and the steamer would not work. This appeared to be a return. I contacted Amazon customer services and soon received a replacement. This steamer worked, plenty of steam coming out, used on carpets and then bathroom and kitchen with the various attachments. Did its job, easy to assemble, shifted dirt and grime, reasonably lightweight. The only downside was that there was a bit of water in the tank when I first opened it. I phoned Hoover direct and they confirmed that there should be no water what so ever in any steamer purchased new. I contacted Amazon customer services who apologised and offered to send another replacement. As I was happy with the steamer they offered me a discount to the price paid which was acceptable. I didn't particularly want the hassle of return and re-delivery. I've already ordered some more textile pads. My carpets look better and are sanitised, as is the rest of the house. I'm really happy with my purchase and would recommend. Brilliant steamer for the price and a lot sturdier that the one it replaced.

Having read good reviews about this products I bought it to replace a broken VAX floor steamer. Well...what a disappointment. The item is lightweight purely because is cheap and flimsy strangely no mentioned in any reviews I read . The instructions are pointless but hardly needed as it is straightforward to put together.Lots of attachments for a variety of purposes but is suspects I will hardly ever use them. However once plugged in it warms up within seconds letting out a powerful steady steam that seems to be lifting the dirt very easily. The water thank is rather samll but good enough for a 20 minutes stint depending on steam settings. However the cable is too short and if you have large area to clean you will be plugging and unplugging a lot. Once the handle and the mop head is removed it works as a hand held steamer and that's when the lightness is really appreciated.It works and it works rather well doing what is designed to do but for £80 plus pounds I was expecting a better quality product and in that respect it really disappoints.

I have on my used once

I bought this product a year and a half ago. It worked great, with a lot of steam and properly lifting dirt and sanitising the floors. No issues there! I also used filtered water to avoid limescale buold up.However, after 1 year and a half of using it with no problems, the steam started coming out weaker and weaker until there is a very soft steam which is not enough for cleaning properly. It doesn't even wet the floor anymore!I contacted the customer service to check what could be the problem and see if it could be fixed. For more than a week I just kept repeating myself: different people would pick up my enquiry, replying without checking the history of the conversation. Also, they kept giving me advice related to the new model of Hoover steam mop which is not applicable to this older version (the new model has a removable tank with a limescale filter that can be changed to prevent the steam mop to be put in the bin at some point). Despite me sending pictures of my model and explaining the problem, they told me there is nothing I can do. They cant even repair the problem, although they suggested for me to fix the problem (by buying spares that are no longer available for sale for this model), dismantling the thing and trying to figure out myself what piece needs replacement. lol So I just have to put it in the bin (very environmentally friednly) and buy a new product.I will certainly no longer buy Hoover products, they are poor quality and the customer service is pretty useless.

This is the best one l have tried. So light and flexible to use. The best one out of three that l have tried. No hesitation in recommending this Hoover .

I thought I would treat myself and bought this as whole house is tiled. Most disappointing. Everything stays wet for ages. Had to use towels to dry floors. Does not work well on windows either.

Very easy to use.It is made by Hoover, it steams and really does what the box says it does.Easy to use and set up.
