The media could not be loaded.  It’s not the cheapest bell out there, but I always think that it’s far better to pay a little more for a superior quality product. This bell does seem to be reassuringly solid and well-constructed. It comes with a couple of rubber strips to fit under the collar, thick and thin to fit most handlebars. I used the thin one and once I had tightened the screw down it wasn’t going anywhere. I did read another review that indicated it did not fit, but I had no problems. It requires an Allen key to tighten it, but everyone has a set of Allen keys, no? I did turn the bike upside down to take a pic of the underside for this review causing the paint to scratch off a bit; I am not that bothered; I assume it wont stay looking pristine and new for very long, but nothing ever does, once I get my hands on it! The tone is crisp and quite penetrating; I am confident it will alert your average dog walker and common or garden pedestrian but the acid test will be when I encounter a jogger with their earbuds in and Billie Eilish on full volume. I’ll keep you posted on that one. In actual fact, I would suggest ringing it whilst still some way away from any pedestrians as up close it could startle them, particularly if they are off in their own little world as is so often the case. I have attached a short vid for you to hear and a couple of pics too, making it all fairly self-explanatory. In the video you can see where I have managed to scratch the paint…Dooh! I have rated this 5 stars as it is exactly what I was looking for and I envisage it lasting well into the future (albeit minus the black paint!).

Bought this as a replacement for a much cheaper bell that fell to bits. This has a sharp, lingering 'ding' that can be varied in volume depending on how hard you flick it. Just what I needed.

This is the posh version of the same £3 bell which has a cheap, rusty spring and plastic trigger which pings the bell. In my experience, with regular use, these break inside a year. My initial impressions are this is the perfect version of a ping bell with an upgraded external trigger. The rest of the bell looks quality, sounds louder, and secures perfectly so the x3 cost could well be worth it.Time will tell if this trigger lasts longer than a rusty spring. I have high hopes that this upscale version will last a good while longer or I will revise this review.

Phenomenol ring on this bell. You can literally see the ring travel by the reactions you get from pedestrians when they hear it. Loudest and clearest tone I have ever heard form a small bell. All my cycle buddies love it as they dont use their bells when they are with me caning it down a canal path. Impressed my local bike shop so much they are looking to source it. Feel a lot safer with this on board.

Easy to fit using the supplied alum key - I didn't need the two adjustment rings provided. Great clear sound and seems very sturdy and well-made.

The bell is very loud and looks amazing. However, it did not fit my handlebars (I have drop bars). Its a shame that the attachment does not allow any flexibility, and your forced to only a certain small handle bar size. Nonetheless, I purchased a few cable ties and this did the job in attaching it on.
