I got this so I can attach my cameras to a vehicle to record this or that. We have more expensive equipment at work but for attaching to a strong magnet or other items that are quickly attached/detached, this is great. It stays put with the lighter cameras we are using. I can't say how it will work with heavier cameras. Honestly, if you are spending thousands on a camera and you try to get cheap with the mounts, that's on you if it moves or falls off. I liked it so much I got a few more as spares to make new vehicle mounts as needed.

Good cheap, small, all-purpose, no-frills ballhead. Does what it claims. Use it for what it's intended and you'll be happy.
