American National Firearms Disassembly Tool for Glock Magazines

One of the issues my old, damaged hands have had for a while is the inability to "pry" things. Even opening a bottle of Coke was uncomfortable for me. Then I found this tool for my Glock, and my Certified Glock Armorer was given one in appreciation of his years of help. Darn thing actually works well! So having purchased a G48 to go along with my G19, I decided to get another one (this order) for the second Glock bag to have in case. I actually have a third in my pistol tool case, and a couple of guns' mags are similar, so it can help there too. And pried with just a tad of care, the Glock mag spring won't go flying just by pulling the base off (always pull about half way, off the retaining peg, then put (right handed) left thumb over the spring, finish pulling base off, and you can control the spring from going "sproing!" into some hidden part of your living room/office/shop. Very useful, and my armorer has given some as gifts to friends and customers. Don't need it everyday (for most of us), but when you need to clean a mag, or add or remove an extension or spring, this makes it much easier than the OEM Glock Tool that can get bent (though it has worked fine until I found this tool).

I had been struggling to remove the base plate on the Glock 26 mags and kept busting my knuckles trying to force it off without damaging the mag. This tool was super easy to use and made changing out the base plate a breeze.

What took me about an hour on a failed attempt to remove and replace one mag floor plate turned to only 5 minutes to do 3 mag floor plates with this tool! Effortless work compared to doing it the old fashioned punch, pinch, and pull way. Worth every penny in my opinion! The tool is made very well.

Tool greatly simplifies the removal of stock Glock magazine baseplate. Tool can slightly mar the plastic surface of the magazine body. I put a strip of the fuzzy side of velcro on the pivot point. When done the magazine doesn't look like it has ever been apart. I should have bought this year's ago.

Better then expected. Solid construction, well finished and worked flawlessly. I have seen other such items that are not aluminum and cost just as much I have also seen other such items that are aluminum and cost 5-10 dollars more. This item is perfect for its intended purpose and should last for years.

Worked like a dream. Very quick and easy, especially after initially trying to remove the plate with just the push pin tool.
