Welcome to Rivendall. This is a big set, all those bags do look daunting at first, but the instructions do brake the build down to one /two bags at a time. I'm not a big Lord of the Rings collector. I bought this as it's an impressive set in its own right. It looks stunning as a stand alone piece. Made in three sections, a few bits were fiddley, the build was enjoyable. It has a few sections that are repetitive ( fixing all the roof and floor titles) but it's worth it for the finnished product. Overall the build isn't too complicated. Some of the instructions in the manual are difficult to see against the grey page. The high cost isn't great but it was reduced in price when I got this so it was a little more affordable. This is definitely a set I'd recommend regardless of if you are a the Lord of the Rings theme. The details are amazing and It's a well thought out set.

I have had my eye on this Lego Rivendell set since it launched to rave reviews . I waited though for a deal and a recent great one here was enough to get me to bite. I believe this one is going to be very collectable and sure to have been scrabbling for it once no longer made. The set itself is over 60000 bricks. This amounts to a good price per brick now , especially discounted. I'm only now embarking on the build. 49 bags over 3 instruction manuals and will be taking my time to truly savour it. The set looks fantastic, an absolute masterclass in how good Lego can look and will be the new centerpiece on my living room display shelf. I eventually completed this many months later and am delighted with the final build. Great varied build, fantastic looking set packed with detail and excellent mini-figures.

Absolutely fantastic. I bought this for my son's Xmas present. He opened it on the 25th December and completed it Jan 3rd. He was straight on with it on a night after work. I was hoping it might take him a bit longer, but he's Mr Lego. The completed model is really beautiful, with some amazing details. Very highly recommend.

The most incredible Lego set I’ve ever built! I was hesitant to order from Amazon as I would usually order from the Lego store so that I can collect the insiders points, however this was on such a good prime day deal that I couldn’t not buy it and I’m so glad I did! The box is ginormous so please be mindful of that if you get it sent to a collection point like I did as I had some trouble carrying it up the road to my house. This took me a couple of days to build and I enjoyed every second! This has been my dream set for a while and it was sort of surreal to finally get to build it. The set is broken down into 3 sections, you build one section at a time and connect them all together in a modular style at the end. This makes the set really convenient to move around and you could even display each section separately if you needed to. It’s a really large set so definitely take that into consideration but it looks so impressive once built and I’ve had a lot of compliments on the set from house guests who have seen it.

Brilliant modle,some building complicated but worth the end result, Colours outstanding and very good detail. I have built lots of big models, This out does all of them bit expensive, If I had waited few days it was reduced in price for black Friday by £69

What an amazing build. It was so fun, the roof tiles were long but still, I was never bored during building. Figures are 10/10. The entire build and set overall is just 10/10 to be honest. I bought this on sale and it was worth every penny. It sits proudly on my shelf as the most pleasant set to look at. This is how you bring a theme back. I just hope they keep bringing more affordable sets, I'd love to grow my Lord of the Rings collection further. I've just got Barad Dur to add to my collection from this themes return.

I have been pining for this set for a long time and now I'm so glad to finally own it. It's absolutely beautiful. And the time it takes to build it is great. I love taking my time with lego sets and this one is not an exception. There are so many hidden nods to the film and the finished product is an absolute delight.

This was a fantastic set and fun and engaging to build. It took me about two weeks to make it on and off in my spare time, but if I had sat and only built Lego, I probably could have finished it within two days. I was surprised by how sturdy each section was, I can comfortably pick them up and move them around (not that I want to) without worrying about it all falling apart. The roof tiles were not nearly as tedious to get aligned as I was worried, the instruction manual has some very helpful advice on how to get them all aligned perfectly. The only thing that held this back from 5 stars was there were 4 missing parts (leaves to the tree and 2 parts to a mini figure) and LEGO was able to send the replacement parts out for this set so it is complete. However, be warned it took a while to get these replacement parts and if it had been a crucial part of building the set I would have had to wait over a month for the parts to be able to resume building. Everyone over at LEGO was very helpful when I had questions about missing parts and was happy to help. Despite the setback with the missing pieces, I think this set was worth the money.

One of the best Lego sets of all time

It is expensive, but it is also huge, and has so many details that you won't regret after all. So many minifigures, so many unique places/rooms. You can set characters in many scenes, it looks awesome on the shelf. Strongly recomended.
