Ants had no trouble getting into this bowl--Nice bowl, if you don't have ants
Doesn't actually keep ants out of pet food.It's a sturdy and cute bowl, but there were ants in the food within a couple of hours. My cats are grazers, it takes a full day to finish a bowl of food, so we need a true ant-proof bowl. This isn't it.If you are looking for a nice bowl for your pets and don't have ant invaders in your home, this is a good pick. We've had it for a few weeks and it's holding up nicely to my voracious pug (he eats his food immediately, so ants don't have a chance to find the food). It's nice too since it holds a cup of food and that's all he's supposed to get a day. I use the bowl to scoop directly from the food and I haven't noticed any scratching of the paint.I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bowl for a pet who don't need to worry about ants.

Buy the green. Stay away from the yellow.
Yellow enamel flakes off. I also bought the green. The green enamel has not even chipped. The yellow bowls have more stainless showing than color. So far ants seem to be deterred.

Works - No ants!
This worked! We were still having ants in our dog's dish even after treatment by an exterminator. After using this bowl the first time, we have not seen an ant since.
