Before cooking: - Carefully wash and dry the cookware. - If you are cooking on an electric/glass/ceramic stove, always lift the cookware to change its position in order to prevent scratching the stove-top. - Stacking, dropping and bumping your enamel-coated cookware can cause chipping on the surface. - Placing metallic objects inside your microwave is a recipe for disaster. Use your oven instead, and make sure not to exceed 500°F. - Cooking outdoors? Perhaps not the best idea if your cookware is enamel coated. Avoid using it in campfires and outdoor grills to avoid discoloration of the enamel. - Acidic foods may stain or discolor the enamel, however, this does not harm or change the quality of the cookware. Maintenance & Care - Many cooking techniques require stirring the food. Make sure to use non-metallic utensils to prevent scratches on the inside enamel layer of your cookware. - Once you are done cooking let your cast iron cool down before washing it. Then, although dishwasher safe, it is better to use soap and warm water to clean it thoroughly. Avoid using any form of citrus cleaners. - Dry the cast iron by either using a towel or by warming it up to vaporize the remaining water from the surface. - Avoid drastic temperature changes over short periods of time to prevent fracture in your cookware. Make sure to warm it up and cool it down gradually. - Your Guro cast iron product is an energy saver; use a low flame until the required temperature is achieved. - Gaining some tough stains? Try rubbing them off using baking soda and a cloth. Still not coming off? Bleach should be able to eliminate anything else.

Handles chipping without any impacts.
Love the pot. Sadly I've only used it twice, hand washed it, but it the porcelain is already chipping. It cooks well and holds heat nicely. I'm just confused on why it is chipping when it's still new and we'll cared for.

Not well made.
This came with at least a quarter of the enamel chipped off. The box it came in was noy damaged, so this must have been how it was sent from the factory. Large pieces of the enamel were off. I returned it immediately. Very disappointed.

Great balance between product quality and value
I was looking for a high quality Enameled Cast Iron Dutch oven that wouldn't break the bank. There are many options out there and I found this to be a great balance between product quality and value. When looking at other options I liked that you got more for your dollar here.I received it in a timely manner and it was packaged nicely. When you first receive it they ask you to season it which was a very simple process that involved washing it and baking it for about an hour or so.We had our first test of the the product this past weekend and it made a delicious pot roast... The best part of it was the clean up. you can see in the picture that the pot seems stained but the great thing was that it literally rinsed perfectly clean like new with a little hot water! I was so shocked on how easy it was to clean up that I decided to write this review and post some pictures. All I can say is that if you are looking for great cast-iron cookware Guro delivers in Spades! I will be return customer for sure!

Beautiful, and makes really tasty food!
This is my first Dutch oven and I'm really excited about it. First of all, it's beautiful. The bright red gradient to dark brick red is so stunning that I just want to leave it out on my stove top for admiration throughout the day. For my first ever Dutch oven recipe, I made a zucchini-chard gratin. This was a great way to explore the pot because I first sauteed some onions, veggies, and spices on the range and then popped it into the oven to bake for a while. I have a gas stove, and the pot heated quickly & evenly, cooking the veggies beautifully. During the baking process, the cheese melted and formed a perfect crust around the outside edges of the dish. The gratin was absolutely delicious. I've made a similar recipe in a regular oven pan before and it was good, but with this Dutch oven the food had a special flavor...it tasted like I had seasoned it more than I had! I can't wait to make more stuff in this! The only downside is that it's really heavy. I'm not removing a star from its rating because I'm assuming that all cast-iron pots of this size are equally heavy, but it's definitely something to be aware of.
