Really close shave if used properly.
Don't leave the blade in if you have it it your carry on luggage on a plane, they'll confiscate the whole thing not just the blade.

The handle design regardless of length allows a great degree of control and the blades are good for as many (if not more) shaves than a cartridge and so much cheaper.

Decent mid level DE razor
Bought to replace a Merkur 34C that I lost while on holiday. Not as heavy as the Merkur, and a generally milder shaver, so might be good if you find the 34C too aggressive.Minor complaints:The blade exposure is not even on mine so one side shaves better than the other.The ball on the bottom of the handle is a separate piece to the handle and it keeps falling off. It should be threaded and screw into the handle really, or have knurling to keep it on - it is annoying while shaving to have it keep plopping in the sink.Miles better than the cheaper DE razors, and the new Gillette DE razor (which is too long and too light for me), but nowhere near as good as the Merkur razors.

Looks really good quality but have to give it 1 star as it's incomplete and this been advised on other reviews and the company don't seem to care.

Short Handle DE89 is a classic
The product itself works amazingly and is a great first step into the world of safety razors and as far as the razor itself goes I recommend it 5 stars, but I had an awful experience with shipping this.Despite living in the city that Edwin Jagger produces these razors it took nearly a month (with next day delivery) for Amazon to find and deliver one from another warehouse and get it delivered to me. I cannot say why this happened but it might be worth bearing in mind for future orders as it is genuinely my worst experience so far with Amazon.
