Bad design.
These stands are a bad design and will not support a monitor speaker securely, the upright stem is to thin and the base is to small. The so called carpet spikes are not spikes they arr in fact small round metal balls, alright on a hard floor but not much good on a carpet. The stem grip device becomes locked solid thus making the stand non- adjustable and the top platform rocks from side to side nomatter how much you tighten the thumb screws.I would not recommend these stands to anyone,i am really disappointed with them. I wish i had bought the other stands with the bigger base, sturdier stems more secure platform. Peter cox.

Decent stands.
After taking the plunge with these despite the reviews and ratings I have to say I am very happy with them. On solid ground there are no issues with these. They are holding my 4.5KG speakers with no issues at a height of around 90cm off the floor. On full extension they become very slightly less stable but still serviceable, this is because the base is relatively short. So if you have speakers of 5KG+ and you are planning on having these at full extension you may want to consider alternatives as the base probably wouldn't be sufficient. Overall happy solid product that will serve me well.

Looks great! Good for Small about 4" Monitor
I like the stand it is not bad at all, how ever I dont think it will be good for big 7" or 8" monitors I currently use it with my 4" M-audio AV 40 and it sits just fine, although I flat base for the monitors would have been better that the clamps systems. apart from that I like the look of the floor base, has some modern look, and can blend it in house setting. Overall I think it ok but not great for bigger speakers.Hope this helps someone make a decision.

The WORST Monitor Stands you could buy
These monitor stands are flimsy, low quality and pathetically designed. They will topple with the slightest touch and I wouldn't trust any studio monitor clamped onto one of these. I received a faulty unit where the telescopic system was locked and inoperable. Even so, they are not 'professional grade'.I strongly suggest you look for an alternative solution.

DO NOT BUY.
Broke within 5 minutes of setting up. Terrible, cheaply made nonsense. The pole literally snapped when I was adjusting the height.

Just the job for home recording monitors
Can't fault them at this price! These are usefully compact but sturdy enough. The heavy bases prevent disastrous toppling of speakers which are securely held by the clamping system.
