Crucial dietary/nutritional info to be aware of
Chris Knobbe, MD, the primary author, is a brilliant specialist physician I've fortunately known for a few years. He learned what he writes about by working, to a very substantial extent, on his own previously quite serious personal health issues many years ago.If you understand MetSyn (metabolic syndrome) and it's sugar (50% glucose and 50% fructose) consumption problems at all, you'll find it fascinating that Chris actually places the lipids consumption issue/problem, excess Omega-6, above and likely even more health challenging than excess sugar consumption! That's a very strong statement. If you don't yet get what I'm referencing, watch some of his many online videos.If you deal with and/or care seriously about any of the many chronic health issues, please, please get this book and learn what Chris describes about the risks associated with SADs (Standard American Diets) that are two consumed lipids, i.e., Omega 3 vs Omega 6 related,...not just sugar related.He will teach you how to substantially lower, consumption-wise, your risks associated with most well known chronic diseases. If you are a layperson and do not understand what "chronic" diseases are, please be sure you look it up and understand that. Or, look closely at the lower portion of the front cover of this new book.I'm not remotely suggesting you ignore the sugar related issues, those are super important as well. Just make sure you are also aware of the serious risks associated with the common American issue of typically consuming a multiple of Omega 6 vs. Omega 3. Ideally you should attempt to consume a roughly equal amount of those two Omegas. It requires some significant learning to do that and do it consistently. And Chris Knobbe is leading that learning, globally. He taught me that initially over three years ago at a health conference in Denver. And he still teaches me. Get this book!!!
When I saw that this book was endorsed by some of the most prominent physicians and scientists in the world, I knew I had to take a closer look. I’m glad I did.Having seen thousands of scientific research papers, I can easily say this book contains compelling data and graphs that can’t be ignored or explained away. Dr. Knobbe connects dots that have been previously overlooked.I got the hard copy and it is one of the most beautiful books I have ever purchased. The interior design, layout, images, and colors are gorgeous and make the graphs and scientific data much more easily accessible.When you see the true history of vegetable seed oils and how they were originally considered toxic waste but deceitfully marketed as healthy, and then what they proceeded to do to the health of humans up to the present, you will be astonished. They didn’t exist prior to 1865.Big Food puts these fattening toxins in just about everything they create and sell in your supermarket.Sure, refined sugar and carbs are bad but wait till you see his graph of vegetable oil consumption and obesity rates from 1870 to 2018. Never before in history has such a large population become so fat so fast.The widespread overdose consumption of these toxic oils in the last century may very well be the single greatest major change to the human diet in all recorded history.

Great Book
Starting my second read of the book. First read was "WOW". Love this book, I think it is destined to be a Classic. I read the summary at the end of each chapter before i read the chapter then reread the summary.Lot of mark ups for me. If you are concerned about your health you need to read this book.

Kindle version is completely unreadable and blurry, very low quality scan, don't buy kindle until they fix it.It's also an image scan so you cannot search it all.

repetitive and short on actual science
I have read 3 chapters so far and I haven't seen anything I didn't know before. There are a number of claims of associations being causative and other sloppy verbiage.I wasn't impressed by the rat studies in Chapter 1. The text is trying to lead you to believe that whole grains are healthy. And they are for rats because they are one of a rat's natural foods. This does not mean that they are healthy for humans.The author needs to spend less time on why fruits, vegetables, and whole grains should be eaten by humans and more time on the actual science of what harm seed oils cause in the human body. So far all I have seen are associations with multiple confounding variables.

Essential Information!
This is a very thorough book on the subject of PUFA's and their negative effects on our health. Most people probably won't want to dive as deep into the subject as this book does. Nevertheless, there is a massive wealth of information from which to make life-changing steps to maximising one's health and enjoyment of life. It seems pretty clear upon reading this book that poly unsaturated fatty acids, aka seed oils, are the key culprit in the dramatic decline of people's health worldwide over the last hundred years.
