Distinctive and timeless
I absolutely adore the smell of this stuff. It is virtually the same as their old discontinued product, "Bay Citrus". In fact, I suspect this is just a rebrand of that very same product. It has a "classic" aftershave smell, which makes a welcome alternative to the boring and often-effeminate deluge of same-old-same-old aquatic and sweet scents that seem to be everywhere since the 90s.In contrast, this is a classy - and classic - scent. It's unmistakably and unashamedly masculine, but it's not Brut for the chauvenistic medallion-man. This is the scent for the well-groomed perfect gentleman. It's a confident and approachable scent. It doesn't carry an intimidating aura, it carries a strong and reassuring one. This isn't the pushy-salesman, the bully or the sexist pig's aftershave. It's the mountaineer's, the Dad's or Grandad's, the favourite boxing-coach's aftershave. So what's it like? Well, It's got the classic citrusy/woody type of smell of the aftershaves of decades gone by, with a nice discreet herbal and spicy undertone. If you are old enough, think of what Aramis used to smell like prior to about 1990. Another one I would compare this to is Cerruti 1881 pour homme. The scent reminds me very much of my Grandad, who always wore a nice aftershave. However, it's not an "old person's" scent. Unlike Paco Rabanne or Old Spice in their "original" forms, this scent is very suited to someone in their 20s or 30s. It has a youthful energy to it. It's timeless, not dated. I myself have been wearing it since it was called "Bay Citrus", in my late teens/early-20s. I'm now in my 30s.I always get compliments on this, especially if I have layered the fragrance by using their soap too. It's unique, and stands out. But that's not all. When you are wearing it, you not only smell different to everyone else, you smell far better... and people notice.Unfortunately, the scent doesn't seem as strong or long-lasting as it did when it was Bay Citrus. It's still absolutely wonderful and well worth the money though. It smells much, much classier than any of the other, more well-known fragrances I've mentioned. And it's better value than many of them too.The fact that buying it supports an independant Scottish company that actually cares about its products, is a nice added bonus.Try it, you won't be disappointed.

A timeless sexy fragrance for your man
This used to be called 'Bay Citrus' and my husband loves the fragrance, a fusion of natural scents which makes it ideal for day wear, not too heady but delicious. Why should our men not smell gorgeous? Price is very good and the skin care range includes shave soaps, which he loves also. I buy ahead of his birthday and Christmas, so he always has a supply of this eau d'toilette with his other fragrance choices. He is 69 now but still wants to feel confident.

THE MISSING SMELL
I have been a lover of Arran for many years - from holidays as a kid, to playing on Arran when I was in a band in the 70's and 80's - Lamlash, Brodick and Whiting Bay halls and drinking in the PHT,Ormidale and Whiting Bay Hotel.. Therefore I was delighted to be able to buy this fragrance 'Lochranza', made in Arran.I am sorry to have say that I am very disappointed. The smell is almost non-existent and what can be discerned lasts merely a few fleeting minutes.I give one star simply because of my love of Isle of Arran.I do not enjoy giving a negative review as I know that peoples' jobs and business could be affected. I am sorry, I was looking forward to enjoying the product and this is just not possible.

Really unique and refreshing smell
Never bought anything from Arran Aromatics before. Had a whiff of this at a gift shop at Queen's View, Pitlochry(Unbelievable, I know!) and really liked it. Cheaper than your typical branded EDT but unfortunately out of stock. Later on in the day and I noticed that the smell was still strong and certainly more lasting than other branded stuff. Delighted to see it on Amazon under retail price. Bought it, smelling good, happy weegie!
