Ideal for boisterous rats
This thing is MASSIVE. I'll admit to not reading the dimensions properly before I bought this and was amazed when I shook it out - for reference, my rats have the Little Friends Langham cage and it takes up just over a quarter of the room in there, with room on top and underneath when it's hung up. It's great, though - my rats love to get in there and rip all the filling out, and after they've successfully destroyed the inside they drag all their smaller toys and extra fleece into it. They like napping on top of it when the sun comes through the window in the afternoon, too, so it's not just for wanton destruction. It's stood up well over time, as well - considering that it gets gnawed on, pulled at and wrestled with daily and put through the washing machine every time I clean them out it's still in remarkably good condition. You can also detach the clips and keep it on the floor of the cage instead, which is good if your rats are getting a bit older and lazier like mine are. Really good stuff.

If only they made this for humans...
Definitely going to be repurchasing this! It's literally multi-functional, serves as a home, a digging spot, a hidey hole, a platform, a treasure chest of random objects... list goes on.I've had mine for about 5 months, and as you can see in the image, has been totally annihilated by these two little munchkins. I've changed up their cage several times, but they never feel comfortable unless this thing is in the corner.

My Rats love to De-foam.. Boredom breaker & Snuggly bed in One..
The one I received isn't quite the same shape as the photo, more oblongy or oval shaped and just without the same height as the the round one shown. Quite like it though as the boys are able to use it as a double hammock. Have it in with my two geriatric boys at the moment, but they seem to prefer the long tube hammock with the hole on top from the same manufacturer. hopefully its just because it's new and doesn't have that worn in feeling/smell yet. I will be keeping it for the older lads as my other guys have had some fun ripping up the other foam based hides (by the same brand) I have purchased for them in the past. Was bought for these boys due to the fleecey lining because as they get on they don't seem to be able to keep their heat just as well. It's a nice wee item for under £10, but the last igloo shaped one was torn up by my younger set after a couple uses. Still got a couple of months out of it, but I expect this one will have to hand washed and drip dried same as the other. Just check and double check that you have room for it as i reckon 4 fatty top ear rats could fit in no problem. Wish they would make one where the foam isn't so irresistible then maybe I might get more than a few months use out of it. Find the double hammock from the same manufacturer longer lasting & easier to wash, but they just don't have the same snuggle factor. I think you should try a few of the different styles to see which suits your caging and pets best as we all have slightly different requirements and expectations. have to say am very fond of this brand and have made many purchases over the years.

Dangerous
First of all a danger warning ... my Guniea pig got caught up in the loop and got very distressed and frightened , it tried to run in his tunnel dragging the house with him . Had I not been in the room he would have been hung and it was very upsetting for guniea pig and me , he settled once cut him out . The house straps were removed and left house on floor of cage...Other then that my piggies love it , it is the second one I have bought , they snuggle in there , both together because so big .I would purchase again when it’s needed but will be cutting all straps off straight away and just have as a floor house .

WOW! Huge!!!
I thought my new (two) pet rats would get a medium to small house to sleep in, but nope! They are living like kings. I didn't even tame them yet and they're already showing signs of liking me - they just love this thing!Got them a similar thing that's more a big hammock, as well as a fluffy tunnel so they can move between the two, and chill where ever they want.If I could rate this 10 stars then I sure would! A few loose strings that I had to pull out but that's hardly worth calling an issue. If your cage is sufficiently big, then BUY THIS!

Good house. Very cosy, and large.
I bought this for chinchillas... Nibblt chinchillas. And although the house is sturdy and it did last them for quite a while. It has one design flaw. The fabric loops for the suspension chains are easily accessible to chinchillas. And they will chew that. Tearing through it making the chain come off.So my recommendation to manufacturers: replace the fabric loops with a thin metal ring that runs through the inside top of the house, which the chains can connect to. That way, rodents wouldnt have anything sticking out, to chew out

Warm and fuzzy but huge!
Amazing product, my 4 rat boys love it! Always snuggling up in it and hiding food inside!I’ve put it through the washing machine twice and it seems to be holding up well. My only criticism is that with four boys who also like climbing on top of everything it has started to sag but they don’t complain and it’s hardly the manufacturers fault!

Guinea pig bed
Bought this as a bed/hidey for my guinea pig. He lives adjacent to his brothers due to his health and I was concerned about him being warm enough over winter without others for body heat. I’m pretty pleased with it. It’s the same size as a snuggle safe heat pad so I pop one of those in the bottom at night and Stuff the bed with hay and I feel confident my piggies will be snug. He seems to like it also. I got my hubby to put a couple of hooks in the hutch to hold it up. I do think they are needed as the structure is not that rigid without them. Only concern now is how to get it dry when I wash it. It’s very thick and not tumble-dry-able.
