Fun game but terrible fishing poles
The media could not be loaded. Update:I've found another product that is vastly superior if your child like dinos. Dinosaur Fishing & Libra. It's this game but better quality and also includes a scale and numbers so small kids can start learning weights and a bit of math! This product is a good secondary option, but the fishing poles are TERRIBLE. The dinosaur one has amazing quality ones in comparison. Anyways, on to the original review...What I love:- adorable little fish with teeth! They are so cute when they open and close their mouths. My toddler says they are going to sleep (yawning).- my toddler is having a blast and has played this a couple hours a day since we got this.- not too fast of rotation! I looked up several other fishing games and they are way too fast for small children.- the music mode is optional. I actually like the song because it's like a lullaby, soft and sweet. Good quality noise, too, better than most noisy kids toys.- the fish have a couple different expressions and 4 colors!- great fun to get the fish into the buckets. Gives you satisfaction of filling them up with fish!- the buckets are excellent quality and have handles. This is awesome because they can be repurposed when the game eventually breaks. You can use them in the sand or to store tiny dolls/accessories (like calico critters, for us).- the fishing poles have little holes to stand up in?! I love that!Things to consider:- tiny magnets. Not for tiny children. Just be mindful.- the fish are small. Again, not for tiny children. 3&up.- weird choice to have two yellow buckets. What I hate:- the fishing poles are terrible. Like 2 star terrible. This is one of the most important aspects of the game and they are flimsy, thin, so easy to bend, and swing wildly and uncontrollably! It's a bummer this is the component they skimped quality on. I would rather spend a few extra dollars for better ones.- they only have two of each style fishing pole. This is bad if you actually want to play with four players. The ones without magnets are at a serious disadvantage because that's where the wobbliness really impacts the game.Overall thoughts:This game is so much fun, but also manages to be frustrating because of the terrible fishing poles! I'm going to try to DIY my own fishing poles and get tiny magnets... Maybe a dowel and string (like in other fishing games for toddlers—the ones we have are too big, unfortunately, and can't fit in the fishes' mouths). If your child is okay just holding the line rather than the pole, you'll be fine as is, but my daughter knows how the fishing pole is supposed to be held and refuses to do it any other way.I debated 3 stars, but my daughter loves this so much that I rounded up. My only complaint is the fishing poles, which is a HUGE disappointment, but I think there's a DIY option out there.I was looking at other products similar to this and they either lack the buckets or have the same wobbly fishing poles, so I think the actual activity and core components of this version are worth the frustration of coming up with an alternative fishing pole.Maybe even gluing the hanging part in place with some super glue, but I worry that might make it too easy. An in between option would be nice... I'll update if I find one!

Almost great execution
I loved these wind-up magnet fishing games when I was little, and occasionally I will pick one up to play with kids.I was really happy to find this on Vine. It's easy to set up, and the clip back on the battery door means you don't need a screwdriver to open it. The fish turn around really cute like, and the toy also makes some cute noise if you push the play button up twice. Now for the bad part... there are only two out of four fishing poles that have magnets at the end of them. WTF? The other two have plastic anchor-shaped hooks. It's so bizarre to not make all four poles have magnets. It's hard enough for adults to play the game with the non-magnet fishing hooks, but it also meant I couldn't just let four little kiddos play together. Kind of a crap idea for a game that otherwise could have kept kids interested for hours.

Fun for little kids, colors are a bit off…
I have three kids ages 3, 7 and 8. A lot of games the 7 and 8 year old can play, my 3 year old cannot because they’re too difficult for her. Plus, she’s not able to read yet. I saw this and thought, great, they can all play together!Overall it’s a cute game and I think a kid even 18 months could play (I mean, kind of haha). I feel like I played a similar game as a kid in the 80s-90s but can’t put my finger on it. The only two issues I have are these…1. The fishing rods are a little flimsy but I wasn’t expecting too much. 2. The colors are way off for some players. What do I mean? Well, there’s a red cup for pink fish and a peach fishing rod to go with yellow fish and the greens are all different shades of greens. As an adult I can figure it out but even my 7 and 8 year old were thrown off that the “green player” has a chartreuse green bucket, aqua fish and spring green fishing rod. I just don’t understand why they’re so off. Again, not a huge deal, but a little odd. Lol!Overall I like this game because all three of my kids and I can play together. It’s hard to find a game all three are intersted in and can actually play together. I recommend this and think it would make a nice gift to a family who has kids of varying ages. Thank you and I hope that helps! -Katie G.

classic fun acivity
The media could not be loaded. This is just your classic fishing game where you have the option to catch the fish with either a magnetic fishing pool or a fishing pool with a hook on it.The pond turns at a decent pace that keeps it challenging and fun for kids. The fishing pools are thin plastic that work well but you do have to be careful to make sure not to break them. The two with magnets on the end are much easier to catch fish with whereas the two with hooks on the end make it more challenging since they have to be just the right way to catch the fish.I like that the game has an option for it to be turned on with or without music. The buckets are a nice touch for it helps to add to the feel of fishing. The game came with some stickers but I did not see anything stating where they should go. So we just placed the sea creature stickers on the bottom of different fish to make them into special fish for catching. Since you cannot see the bottom of the fish until you pull them out, it made for an additional nice surprise. My four year old find this game to be a lot of fun and enjoys being able to fish with others at the same time.

Fun game
The media could not be loaded. This is a fun game to play with your kiddos. My 4 year old loves to "catch" the fish. It is quick to set up, just needs 2 AA batteries. The switch allows you to play the song or not play the song. The poles have a nice strong magnet on 2 of them and 2 have hooks. It is definitely tricky to try and "hook" the fish. It is great for hand eye coordination and color recognition.
